Re: RIP … Kick Axe Guitarist Larry Gillstrom, Dead at 69
Yeah that’s a shame. Kick-Axe had a good little run there. Vices is a classic 80s metal album. I met him as a teenager when they opened for Triumph on the Sport of Kings tour. I got to know a few of the KickAxe guys when I lived in Calgary late 80s early 90s and they were trying to find their way o...

Re: When bands change their logo
Aerosmith's classic wings logo is one of the greatest ever, but the Deuces Are Wild revision they utilized during their Vegas residency was absolutely horrible.

Re: Is it worth seeing Supersuckers these days?
I loved the Supersuckers back in their heyday, but now, I’d rather see The Hangmen. https://youtu.be/eQ9TMBT-AYo?si=JFBLSz9YR9N21-w6 They toured together in 2023. Hangmen tore it up, and bringing Eddie out for Coal Mine was a definite highlight. Couldn't stay for Supersuckers. Stories To Tell was s...

Re: Is it worth seeing Supersuckers these days?
They were my personal kings of rock for close to a decade, culminating with their 2008 20th Anniversary show in Seattle. Since then, it's a completely different beast. The twin Gold Top interplay was a key component of their appeal, and the three piece simply can't recreate that. The classics sound ...

Awesome.
Saw that tour nine days later. Interviewed Chuck and Alex that afternoon. Annihilator were touring their debut, with Randy Rampage still onboard. Testament were incredibly loud.
Fantastic gig!

Re: The NEW What Song Are You Listening to Thread?
"This Is Tao" - Sons Of Freedom First time I've ever seen someone reference Sons Of Freedom on this board. Their debut record was a monster. Saw them on that tour, with The Pursuit Of Happiness. Great bill, and SOF were a wall of sound. I liked the 2nd album, Gump, as well, but it wasn't ...
