Coached a team from the bottom of the league to the top, beat an 80's Oilers team for a Cup, and molded a dynasty. RIP Al

Re: The NFL Thread

Drafting Jamarcus really set the team back. I'm not going to say I'm glad that Al's dead, but it's satisfying to have a G.M. who doesn't draft based on speed anymore, or a QB who can throw 60 yards while kneeling on the field during practice. Hoping Hayden pans out, but who knows what's going to hap...

Re: The official NHL thread

Lundqvist was a stud the entire series and kept the score close every game. Congrats to the Kings!!! I want to see 3 banners now.

Lundqvist may not have pulled a 1987 Hextall performance, but he should've been awarded the Conn Smythe.

Re: The official NHL thread

Not to worry John, whipping the Blackhawk's ass is probably the worst thing that could have happened to the Kings. They woke up the sleeping giant. In all seriousness, the Hawks are the defending champs and can't be counted out.

Re: The official NHL thread

So all you Hawks fans who think this will be a cakewalk, I'd be shocked if you don't see a totally different team in games 3 and 4. I'd like to think the same as well, except the Hawks only lost 7 games total, 4 of which were on the road. If the Kings don't pick up both games at home it may be over...

Re: The official NHL thread

Regarding Quick: He's crazy good at his job. He's a huge piece to the success of the current Kings team. They've never had a goalie quite like him. He's plays very well during regular season, then cranks it up for the playoffs and practically stands on his head at times to keep the team in the game...

Re: The Never Ending MMA thread

same here. I dont have a wireless adapter for my 360, so I used my laptop to do it. The new update on the 360 is kinda cool. I might buy another annual xbox live membership. I've been w/o for about a year. If you do end up getting another membership make sure to check out your local 7-11 first. The...

Re: The Never Ending MMA thread

UFC 141 is available for free off of XBOX live. I read it was free to a limited number of those who downloaded the UFC app. While exploring the app I tried to buy the event, but got a message from Xbox saying it had sold out already. I'm guessing the limited number of free UFC 141 slots have alread...

Re: GSP on the shelf for 10 months

At least Diaz and Condit are fighting for the interim belt. When GSP comes back he'll have to fight the winner much like when Lesnar came back after his first surgery and fought the interim champ Mir to unify the HW belts at UFC 100.

Yeah, that's awesome. Seymour gets suckered into getting kicked out of the game by that big rapist Big Ben. What does that say about Seymour? He's fucking awesome and did what Ben's victim's couldn't do. Well raped, Ben. Well raped. In all seriousness you must understand why it's nice to see Ben ge...

I'm a fan. Especially, as previously mentioned, when you see the purists get mad when he wins. He may have been a WWF wrestler at one time, but he has a very real college wrestling background, and a 106-5 record to back it up. Although I stopped watching WWF in the late 80's, I like that he brought...

Wow! Even though they were heckling I gotta say those fans really stuck up for themselves as best as they could. They didn't run and scatter when the starting line-up for the St. Leonard Cougars came after them. Some fans even formed up in a pack. At about the 1:17 mark in the center of the shot to ...

Re: Jack Tatum = Dead. Good Riddance!

He's partially responsible for an NFL rule change because of his dirty headhunting hits. Partially only because he wasn't the only one doing it. There were plenty of other players in that era who delivered hits that we today consider dirty. Is it just Tatum, or do you have a similar dislike for Atk...

Nelson's quote on Lesnar: “Lesnar didn’t want to fight him,” Nelson said. “So he ducked Carwin; so now Frank gets him. I would have stripped him of his belt and left (Carwin) to fight for the real championship and not the TV championship.” http://urdirt.com/2010/03/24/roy-nelson-brock-lesnar-didnt-w...

I saw Dana's Twitter post. He put that up maybe 5 minutes after Fedor lost. He's got to be loving that a former UFC'er beat Fedor.

Carwin, I think, will be Lesnar's toughest challenger yet. Both weigh the same, and are separated by 1 inch in height. Carwin had a college wrestling career like Lesnar and was the NCAA II champ in 1999. He's also been training and fighting in the past year while Lesnar has been recovering from his...
