Re: Wikileaks is the most important world event since 9-11

Im cool with what Assange is doing. All these politicians always campaign on transparancy. Well Assange is just fulfilling those promises for them. Plus we are a democracy. If we are ran by the people for the people, shouldnt the people have access to all of our information?

Re: LARGEST ARMS DEAL IN HISTORY...

Sounds like a good idea. Lets just hope it doesn't turn out like Afghanistan, where we give them support, and it bites us in the ass years later. We didn't support Afghanistan. We supported rebels who were trying to overthrow the Soviet backed government. Maybe you're thinking of Iraq and Iran sinc...

Vote out all incumbents?

Would it be a good idea to vote out all incumbents this November? The government has done a horrible job from the time Bush took office, till now. I know this sounds like a bad analogy, but in sports if you have a team that has done a shitty job for a decade, it is time to clean house. I think we ju...

Re: Mission Accomplished Again

A buddy of mine who is in the army said we will always be in Iraq in some form. One of the people above him said we are going to be stationed there, much like we are still stationed in Korea, and Germany many years later. There isn't much combat related deaths in Iraq anymore. My friend also said th...

Re: Independent POV on Health Care

I did know that it was the house that voted yesterday. in fact i watched it. I was referring to what the senate was trying, and I admit i was wrong about that. But to give a quote from Thomas Jefferson “Whensoever the General Government assumes undelegated powers, its acts are unauthoritative, void...

Also I hope to be able to save up enough money in a separate bank account like my BA professor has taught us to do, and be able to afford any medical bills i may need. I would also purchase health insurance if i started a family. Are you serious?!! If you're willing to save up money, why wouldn't y...

Re: Independent POV on Health Care

Just because the republicans did it, does not make it right. Both parties are into their own agenda, and do exactly what they blasted the other party for before. Like republicans blasting obama for being a war monger when they were all for it with Bush, and your example you just stated with the dem...

slzrocker, explain to us how the Constitution has been violated? States that the senate has to have 61 votes to pass a bill. The senate decided they wanted to change that to 51 because they wouldnt have the votes otherwise. But lets forget about that. How about the fact that making it mandatory for ...

Obama, I was a Democrat, up until last year. I had enough, and realized that both parties were completely full of it. I tried my hardest to defend democrats to the republicans, being in a predominately republican area. And I have nothing to show for it but more of the same. What caused you to leave...

I still want health reform, but I d...

Ron Paul has a great shot. He won the CPAC conference. The mainstream media doesnt like him though. He's not republican enough for fox news, because he is truly an independent with a republican label, and msnbc wont like paul just because he is a republican. I cant stand democrats or republicans any...

haha I was thinking the same exact thing. The global cooling people faked data. Funny how that comes out after the global warming altered data.

Re: Another day, another case of bad science.

I agree with EYU in principle, but if you're going to make assertions on a controversial topic like global warming, you'd better make sure your data is a little more bulletproof than that. The fact that it's not the first incident and that people's jobs are on the line at the IPCC tells me that the...

Now don't get me wrong, I think we need to do good environmental things like recycling, and not trashing everything, but what more does it take to convince people that man made climate change is just used for political leverage. Between Climategate, the false claims on the glaciers melting, and now ...

Almost anyone on these news networks are just partisan mother fuckers, and they are all douches. There is too much bias in the media. Those body scanners are horribly wrong. It is an invasion of privacy, and should be thrown out. You know there will be at least one perv who takes a picture of the body scanner and posts it on the internet. How would you like to take a chance at some guy looking at your little kid nude, or your wife...

As opposed to Bush leading us into this huge depression and took us from the greatest surplus in American history to horrible recession...

Okay if you look it up, the power to declare war lies with congress. Congress does not have the power to declare what is and is not marriage. Nobody should have that right. Either everyone gets married or no one gets married. I learned about that kind of fairness when I was 4 years old. Apparently ...
