Re: New DOKKEN video - Gypsy
Sounds waaaaaaay too similar to "Fugitive". Not that that's a terribly bad thing in this case. Good song, but not great. Well, I do not hear much similarity between "Gypsy" and "Fugitive". If anything, it reminds me of Sunless Days, an underrated post heyday rocker, fr...

New DOKKEN video - Gypsy
https://youtu.be/cXHdy2dTX5s?feature=shared
I like the song! It's fast, heavy, melodic, and the band sounds tight. Like the vibe and the video also. I feel that we will get a good Dokken album soon.

The last Alice Cooper album that I purchased was Detroit Stories and I still couldn't get past the 3rd track. I feel like giving it another try today.

Re: New Lynch Mob Video - Time After Time
I think the song is okay and I like the new singer. It sounds like RATT and I am a fan of RATT. The solo is a disappointment though, I don't like how everything got slowed down as the solo kicks in, takes away all the momentum.

Yep, it sounds absolutely killer. The best riff that I've heard in more than 20 years.
And if you think the vocals suck, you can go kill yourself. Mats Leven is one of the best singers in the business.

Re: New Dokken music video for "Fugitive"
I listened to the song for the last few days and surprisingly it got better with each listen. Don, despite his vocal limitation, seemed to make a real effort and he sounds more energetic than he did on Broken Bones, which was recorded while he was getting cancer treatments. The song is a bit repeati...

Re: Ratt: I Don’t Get It
They had better songs than 95% of their peers, Pearcy wasn't a great singer but he had a distinctive voice that fit the music, Warren De Martini was a great guitar player, and Juan and Bobby were capable musicians. I think they are a bit overrated, but their success is understandable.

Re: Shittiest hair band?
I freaking despise bands with wrongly spelled band name.
Bands like Wild Boyz, Badd Boyz, Blonz, Merri Hoaxx, Tuff(sorry CEO) made the genre and the scene look like a joke to me.
Blonz was a good band though, and their singer Nathan Utz was a talented frontman.

Re: Shittiest hair band?
Anyone who says Danger Danger has no clue. Their first 2 albums influenced tons of AOR/melodic rock bands, especially in Europe. Their sound was very different from C and D level sleazy bands who started polluting the scene. They are under appreciated in the states but there is no denying that their...

6.5 hours? You must really like them. I wouldn’t drive 6.5 minutes to hear that BROKKEN voice. Dokken is my favorite band of all time, and at this rate, it is certain that Don's days of touring and performing are numbered, so I have to see them whenever I can. 6.5 hours driving and having to stay a...

DOKKEN to release a new studio album "Heaven Comes Down" in September
Drove 6.5 hours to see Dokken play at Surf Ballroom, Iowa last night. After a few songs into the set, Don made an announcement that the new studio album is finished, titled "Heaven Comes Down", and it will be released on 15th of September. I heard that several big names were involved in pr...

Re: Now, Dokken... Dokken were cut from a different cloth
I agree with OP. Musically they were as talented as a hair metal band can be, and they weren't always about parties and drugs. They sang about AIDS(Kiss of Death), nuclear wars(Will The Sun Rise), the feud between West and East Germany(Lost Behind The Wall) etc. They were a different animal.
