Re: Any good english AOR?
Strangeways is another great AOR band from UK, though their singer, Terry Brock, is from USA. Their 2 albums, "Walk In The Fire" and "Native Sons" are really good.

Re: Any good english AOR?
Toto, Foreigner, Bad English, Lou Gram, Shadow King, Michael Bolton (80's stuff)... but is there anything worth checking out from the U.K.? I find FM and Magnum quite boring with no catchy tunes. AND all the british AOR bands seem to have this very annoying synth sound. Mantas gone solo is a perfec...

Re: Saxon’s “Dogs Of War” - my review
It's a really good album that put Saxon back into the metal map. After Dogs Of War, they released 3 consecutive great albums in Unleash The Beast, Killing Ground and Metalhead which made them achieve the headliner status.

Re: Poll: Do you like the song "When The Children Cry" by White Lion?
Can't understand how it became such a big hit. Okay they tried to give the world some message, but the music, lyrics and Mike Tramp's vocals are terrible.

I played it twice and wasn't impressed and never gave it a spin again. I'll listen to it again, I hope third time is the charm.

Re: Don Dokken - “When Some Nights”
Up From The Ashes is a great AOR-ish melodic hard rock/metal album. If you're a fan of the genre, it's impossible to not like it. When Some Nights is really good, along with Crash & Burn, 1,000 Miles Away, Down In Flames, The Hunger, the album is great from start to finish. My only complaint is ...

Re: M3’PEAT … Fans React to M3 Rock Fest 2025 Lineup: “Awful”, “Terrible”, “Blah”, “WTF?”, “Lame”, Pass"
I like this year's lineup. There were times when M3 tried to expand and book non-hard rock/metal bands but it wasn't what M3 is meant to be. It would've been better if they added more non-US acts such as Michael Schenker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Bonfire, Pretty Maids and newer bands such as H.e.a.t, Crazy...

Re: Winger as a Band .. Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down ?
They are a talented group of musicians but thumbs down for me. A band, whose biggest hit song is about how they'd like to bone an underage girl, is a disgrace to me.

Re: Best post Dysfunctional Dokken album
Lightning Strikes Again, Heaven Comes Down, Broken Bones are all very good melodic hard rock albums, and Long Way Home is also good especially for excellent bonus tracks(Dancing and Only Heaven Knows). Dokken's later day albums are far superior to those from their '80s peers, it's your loss if you d...

I ranked them in order. 1. Dokken - Lightning Strikes Again 2. Shy - Shy 3. House Of Lords - World Upside Down 4. Saxon - Metalhead 5. Treat - Coup De Grace 6. Uriah Heep - Wake The Sleeper 7. Joe Lynn Turner - Belly Of The Beast 8. Giant - III 9. Dokken - Heaven Comes Down 10. Bonfire - Temple Of L...

I bought their CD "Gates of Twilight" in 2023 and I like it. It's a very nice symphonic, melodic power metal album. Don't know much about them though, will have to check the booklet.

We need "Dokken - Ratt - Crüe" package before it's too late. Maybe it's 20 years too late now but at least it's better than being 25~30 years too late.

Went with Stryper. Bon Jovi is not a valid answer because I Will Be There For You are 6 words.

You just know that he's making stuffs up, he doesn't give you a definite answer to any questions, he only replies very vaguely and moves on to the next topic quickly. And he covers his lies with another lies and they get him back eventually. Declining offers to sing for Foreigner and Mötley Crüe? Th...

Two of my all time favorite bands. For me it's Dokken. Dokken has better songs and their deep cuts are really good. Ratt has good songs but they have good amount of fillers.

Re: What's the first CD you ever bought, when did you buy it, and do you still have it?
For me it was Dokken's Under Lock & Key. It was around '91 when my dad bought a new stereo system that would play CDs. I was blown away by how great it sounded, and I started replacing cassettes with CDs, and now I have more than 2,000 CD's.
