Would work even better with the Ronald McDonald facepaint, but I guess that wasn't an option.

Marchello - "First Love"

Anyone here remember this one? Solid enough keyboard hair metal song that got a small amount of HBB airplay with Gina Gershon in the video. I like it (apparently said video with Gina isn't posted anywhere on YouTube, so here's a Russian link): https://ok.ru/video/38358616773 And while we're at it, a...

This one is kind of debatable as to whether or not it counts, though, since there’s a whole keyboard solo just before it.

Wasn’t she married to Brian Wheat of Tesla once? “Love Has Taken Its Toll” is a solid enough tune that managed to crack the Billboard Hot 100 shortly after it came out. The whole debut album has some other great songs as well like “Gypsy Child” and “Back to the Bullet”. Good stuff.

Nah, I'd say "Something to Believe In" was their last big peak. "Ride the Wind" was just a slight drop, but still a drop nonetheless. Then the real downhill slide began with "Life Goes On". To clarify what I meant ... "Ride the Wind" was the very last moment ...

Here's a good example of a song with a short solo that works perfectly for the song:

Pop ballads and AOR ballads (and even a few hair ballads) are notorious for these: Sweet Sensation's "If Wishes Came True", REO's "Keep on Loving You" and "Can't Fight This Feeling", Firehouse's "Love of a Lifetime", "When I See You Smile", etc.

I'd go with "Without Love", and that one's still pretty damn good. Really, the whole album is Jovi at their absolute best. Agreed that "Edge of a Broken Heart" should have been included.

"Heartline" was a fantastic song but he didn't get the momentum to follow it up. Talented bloke, but also responsible for probably the worst production job I've ever heard in my life - Wrathchild's Stakk Attakk. I actually like the title track from Stakk Attakk . And "Heartline"...

I give the nod to 1980 as the greatest year in popular music, and I was 16 years old. The greatest year in popular music is always the year when you were 16... That would be 1999 for me. Definitely not! Lol 1998 for me. "Gettin' Jiggy Wit' It", "My Heart Will Go On", "The B...

Re: 1984 is the greatest…

I'd say about halfway through '82 up until the end of '92 was the golden era of music for me. 1984 had OOTC, Stay Hungry, Love at First Sting, Tooth and Nail, etc., as well as plenty of good pop/new wave music, so I'd say it's at least one of the greatest years of the 80's.

She can carry a tune, but it was average. When I think of actors who are legit musicians, the only current one I can think of off the top of my head is Jared Leto (30 Seconds to Mars). I know he's polarizing, but the musical career is not a vanity project like Kate or Keanu's Dogstar...or Steven Se...

Korn. "Freak on a Leash" is a nu-metal classic. Close second would be Limp Bizkit for "Nookie" and "Break Stuff".

The correct answer is, as mentioned above, Whitesnake for WS87. Kingdom Come would be a close second, though. Honorable mention to Blue Murder's debut as well.
