His son plays some tour dates and the drummer for Frankie Valli's tour band fills in. Saw Bach last night and the Frankie Valli guy was behind the kit. Bach was on fire and the band sounded good. His voice was in good shape and he was in a great mood.

Re: Crue’s Angela

Apparently it was only released as a single in Japan and didn't do much. No video. No push. Didn't help that the band was falling apart around this time and never did a tour (outside the festival dates) for the greatest hits album, which would've basically been an extension of the Feelgood tour. Re: Lou Gramm Spills His Guts

He's talking about all this stuff, but that was yesterday. What's Lou singing lately? I remember Lou doing a pretty big-budget Shadow King project that was mostly turgeo-id. One good song only, and that was the little acoustic piece done by Viv Campbell. Shadow King is possibly the worst "supe...

The guitar tone on that album is killer. Pretty damn heavy for 1987 hard rock. Aldridge never really recaptured that tone.

Wow, that was embarrassing even for his standards. All of his projects post VH have been generic and forgettable. Chickenfoot has to be up there as one of the worst supergroups put together.

Tattoo was a terrible choice as a lead singer for Roth's return. Should have been She's The Woman. Without You has trouble with the verses. Cherone sounds like he's struggling to fit in the words.

Does it need a remaster? Those first two albums had one of best production sounds of the era.

The last few releases have had terrible production. Can't even listen to them. Song wise, I haven't really cared for anything after Ozzmosis and that wasn't even that good.

Still of the Night. A song which he didn't write or play on the album. Sounds like a cover band.

I saw Cheap Trick a few years ago and they sounded great. Zander could still sing unlike a lot of older bands still touring. Not sure where the hate for Cheap Trick is coming from unless they fell off a cliff since then.

Re: How are Steelheart these days?

Good band and an interesting set list (heavy on the Rock Star soundtrack). How did that happen actually? It’s really amazing. We All Die Young was on their 3rd or 4th album that was released on a small label. It went unnoticed. How did he become one of the singers in that movie with his songs in it...

Not bad. Can't really get into that production sound, especially the chorus. Tons of European bands have been doing similar stuff the last 20 years or so.

How does GNR not have more votes? Live like a Suicide told you all you need to know with what was coming with Appetite! Beach Boys on the second episode of the new True Detective. McCartney II is pretty awesome. Just Paul messing around...

Exposed. Steve Stevens rips on that album. You're Invited and Look In Her Eyes are better than anything on the other solo albums.
