Re: AC/DC live in Gelsenkirchen right now

let's not act like Phil has ALWAYS been there. He wasn't there for their commercial peak from 1983 to 1994 Wasn't most of the time Phil was away their commercial low point? Between the peak of HTH-BIB-FTATR and the revival with Razors Edge (which he wasn't on but still?) But yes, legal issues plus ...

Re: 1984 is the greatest…

I give the nod to 1980 as the greatest year in popular music, and I was 16 years old. The greatest year in popular music is always the year when you were 16... That would be 1999 for me. Definitely not! Lol Ok, it may be a generational thing then. If your 16th year was between say 1962 and 1992, it...

Re: 1984 is the greatest…

The 80s weren't all that great. Instead of ludes and free love, we got the War on Drugs and AIDS. Fuck Reagan. Add to that the Cold War in full swing and the post- Harrisburg/ Chornobyl nuclear panic. Not that great a decade but at least the economy was better than in the 70s. That said, those were...

Thanks.
Wait, what? Is that what goes for great sounding Brian these days? Maybe it's the recording but it sounds like he lost most of his power. Not comparing to 80s Brian, big difference even from 2010.

Not really. Seafood is not a Polish thing. Pork and beef it is. Only Jews and Muslims don't eat pork in Poland.

Also, Polish food is really bland. Like German food without spices.

Yeah, in my experience Zeppelin was never that big here in Europe (as compared to how they were received in the US). Deep Purple and Black Sabbath seemed a lot more popular than Zeppelin. I think that is the case here even today... I think Zep was huge in Europe too in the 70s, too young to remembe...

Re: Bands you would pay to see, but not travel for

I've seen most of the bands/artists i want to. And they are not getting any better live! This. But if I have to list some that are still active/touring, I would pay to see Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Def Leppard. Depending on setlist and recent performances of course. The ones I would travel for....

Around 700 and counting. Had almost the same amount of vinyl but there I never really started buying ...
