Just watched the episode with WVH, gotta say, and I never saw the Taylor Hawkins tribute - Wolf fucking nails Hot For Teacher. Unbelievable technique and feel for Ed's guitar parts. I'm probably the only one here who will praise Wolf, but shit - Props to him.

Hard Rock/Metal drummers, not the obvious pop drummers like Collins or Henley.

Many a day did my small-town teenage self pose in the mirror playing most the TKO album. "I Wanna Fight" was my jam. I was probably one of only two people in my little town who had even heard of TKO and Adam Bomb. Good stuff.

Just revisiting Phil Rudd's solo album, Head Job, and it got me thinking - Besides the obvious Dave Grohl, who was actually successful in putting out a solo album after being a Hard Rock/Metal band drummer? History is littered with the Peter Criss' and Tommy Lees, who just couldn't get shit together...

I thought it was good, maybe a bit too long - There's some unnecessary stuff in there. I did find it fascinating that his first band was more of a blue-eyed soul cover band - No Hard Rock roots at all. He did not come up in Heavy Metal, but rather it basically came to him in that particular 80's MTV...

Not a great drummer myself, but give me a 4/4 or 2/4 beat band any day of the week and I would have fun.

Going to Dead & Co at the Sphere this summer. They totally focus on the proper sound and visuals. What will be interesting is how they will fit the entire band on that little stage - 2 drummers, keyboards, etc.

Kurt Cobain to still be alive and solo - Foo Fighters opening up.
Sea Hags to still be alive and well and making more albums.
