Re: How much did Trash help Alice Cooper?

The guitar riff in Poison is actually from a song on John Waite’s Rovers Return called Encircled. I recall Desmond said he either wrote both songs or ripped off the riff for Poison. https://www.guitarworld.com/artists/guitarists/john-mccurry-on-writing-alice-coopers-poison And they reached an agree...

Fantastic song!

Really good album but they should have let David Glenn Eisley stay in the band IMO.

Only way it stops is if people stop buying tickets to see this trash. And they never will. Exactly. I saw Dokken a couple of weeks ago. They were handing out free tickets so I figured why not. I knew what I was getting. Place was half full (800 capacity). Even with Lynch on a couple of songs. I thi...

The guy from Ministry refused to sign their first album and didn’t acknowledge it. Recently, I have heard he has started signing it.

It was electronic synth - really good but then he went all hardcore. Completely different direction.

Sounds like Ted should have taken a nap and reevaluated before posting that shit about a baby. I'm sure it sucked but he sounds like a douche. Exactly what I thought. I am Assuming he has no kids - and if he does he is pretty ignorant to say that. Any parent can empathize with a screaming baby - es...

And it’s the best album Waite ever did, IMO.

What do they draw? 30 or 40 people every time I see them.

Life Loves A Tragedy is a fantastic tune.

It should have been a single - shame they will never play it live (did they ever?)

IMO, Rocking Horse was a better tune than ‘Your Mamma Don’t Dance’ (which surprisingly was a top10 hit for them).

I think the producers have a big impact on these records. A good producer who can write songs a la Mutt Lange or Desmond Child would have a big influence even though they aren’t credited songwriters.

What he could do is write another book and stick strictly to how each song came about, what it was like working with each artist, etc.

His catalog is so vast, I think it would be a good read.

Desmond is my favorite songwriter of all time.

However, I thought the book wasn’t very good. Too much about his personal life and not enough about how all these songs and collaborations came together. That’s what I, and a lot of people, would have been more interested in IMO.
