Re: 2026 ... Skid Row returns with Sebastian Bach, a full 30 years after their split...? Well...

Just posted this in another thread, but seems to fit better here... So... Contract was up and "both agreed" not to renew due to question marks about his health? I could see that. It's weird to hear people on here talking about Skid Row like they're a current band, suggesting they "ge...

Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.

So he had to quit in the middle or end of the tour? That doesn’t sound good. I saw some clips from a days/few weeks ago and Erik sounded great and was nailing the screams. In all honestly, I hope Erik is okay, it sounds like he's a good guy, and just touring probably isn't for him. But my conspirac...

Back to Madonna.... Wasn't she buddies with Michael Jackson around this time too? I'm wondering if she was offered a spot in the choir and turned it down. Makes sense that the "choice" between her and Cyndi Lauper was over the spotlight moment. And if so, Madonna made the right call. She'...

The list price on U2 tickets were $200-500 before the scalpers got to them.

Might have to give them a listen. Even back in 1990, I thought their big power ballad was a list of lyrical cliches - almost a parody.

Just looked up the stats. The album went Gold and the single hit #23. I just recall thinking, "Why is MTV playing this video so much?"

With that shirt, he appears to be slowly morphing into Mick Foley.

Interesting side note: the backup singer once fronted a Mr. Big tribute band in the '90s.

I always heard the story about Rod Stewart wanting to record "I Wanna Stay Home," but never releasing it.

Apparently, he did record it, although this might be a demo:

Did Pete fall into money somehow? He seems to be doing really well for playing in a cover band in AZ. I think these 3 guys still get along. Pete would just rather take pictures of himself in his pool in Arizona than do mini tours with Trixter. https://www.instagram.com/pete_loran/ Not sure exactly ...

Sounds like 3 Doors Down. I'd enjoy this if I was sporting a crew cut and watching RAW Is War in 2003.

It's not certified, but I'm sure at least 500,000 kids had this in their record collection in the mid-to-late '80s.

I was at a dueling pianos bar in Tempe, Arizona. Total college town. This was around 2008. The crowd was singing along in UNISON to a Sublime song and I remember feeling at least one generation removed. Like... this isn't the crowd that grew up on Motley Crue.

I always think of 1988 as the commercial peak of hair metal. If you want an exact date: September 23, when it was half of the Billboard Top 10. https://www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200/1988-09-23/ That week was also notable for looking ahead to the future with "...And Justice for All&quo...

Hair transplant. Not sure how he'd have the time to have it grown that long if it is an actual hair transplant. It takes a year for the transplanted hair to start really growing and with his level of baldness I'd assume he needs at least three session......So you're already looking at 3 years to ge...

I worked at a chain restaurant about 18 years ago. A kitchen worker killed himself because his girlfriend, one of the servers, broke up with him. It was a temporary shock. Then everyone went on with their lives pretty quick. If anyone out there thinks suicide will lead to an "I'll show them&qu...

The peak of hair metal gloss. It was their Crazy Nights.

(And Crazy World was their Hot in the Shade. A whole lot of meh with a big hit power ballad to save it.)
