Re: Matt Sorum’s book - WTF?
And personally I don't believe Elizabeth Taylor grabbed Matt's dick. And if in fact it never happened then that dude is straight up piece of s*** a****** All she did was ask him what hotel he was staying at, which is apparently an invitation to fuck according to Sorum. It was Stephanie Seymour who ...

Re: Samantha Fox: Do you think she's hot? Do you like her music?
I'm watching the VEVO '80s "channel" on Roku and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now" just came on. Samantha Fox comes across as such a cute, fun chick. And whatever she's doing, it's before the era of auto tune, so I'm going to give her some credit for that.

Re: 29 Years Ago Today...
I came across some video on YouTube of the Los Angeles Weenie Roast not too long ago, which was the "warm-up" for Tiger Stadium. It has a reputation for being a sloppy mess, but it was surprisingly fun to watch. Good performance with a lot of energy. Can't be bothered to find a link. But ...

Re: Matt Sorum’s book - WTF?
Thanks for the link. I'm enjoying the fuck out of this book. Just like Kiss, leave it to the drummer to write the autobiography with the most dirt. But this is my favorite line... "It was the first time I had played the songs from Appetite for Destruction, and I stuck to the script. I played S...

If Desmond Child's vocal sessions with Stephen Pearcy were anything like the one with VInce Neil, I wouldn't be surprised if the album took 18 months to record.

I don't get the premise.
Less popular bands open for more popular bands. That's how it's always been, right?

I heard Benjamin Orr's "Stay The Night" on an '80s playlist yesterday.

Cool song. Just looked it up. Reached #24, so a legit solo hit.

He and his band seemed drunk and bloated at the Moscow Music Peace Festival. A little raw, but I like it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtHEN518VCM Geezer joining up wasn't a "big deal" at the time, but everyone seemed to think it helped the lineup. I liked the Just Say Ozzy live EP tha...

Re: Revisiting Def Leppard’s Adrenalize
Hysteria went up to the rock/pop line in the sand without crossing over it for me. Adrenalize did an Olympic long jump over that line. Cheap Trick was the worst example of this. "Can't Stop Falling Into Love" sounded like a Rod Stewart single. No lines blurred. Richard Marx was rocking ha...

Re: Revisiting Def Leppard’s Adrenalize
I listened to Adrenalize while hanging out in a hotel room about a year ago. I wouldn't call the album good or make a case it aged well, but it had a certain nostalgic appeal. Still remember every song, although you don't hear 'em much in the real world anymore. I remember you talking about that. H...

Re: Revisiting Def Leppard’s Adrenalize
Adrenalize has that signature Def Leppard sound imbued with powerful anthems. Adrenalize isn't just an amazing album, it's a timeless classic that even after all these years I still enjoy listening to on a regular basis. This reads like ‘American psycho’s’ Huey Lewis scene Do you like Def Leppard? ...

Re: What package tours are going on right now?
Saw some ads yesterday for Blues Traveler with Gin Blossoms playing middle and Spin Doctors opening up. It's an example of karma payback, since I saw Gin Blossom open up for Spin Doctors in the mid-'90s on a summer shed tour with Cracker as the third band. Gin Blossoms were by far the biggest band ...
