Re: Who are you voting for? Who do you think will win the election?
Objectively, there's a difference between the causal Trump voter and the nut-job MAGA cultist. If you think it's just about half the country being stupid and racist, you'll never win an election in this country again. It also tells me you spend too much time online and don't talk to people in real ...

Re: Who are you voting for? Who do you think will win the election?
Most Trump voters will say they don't approve of Jan. 6, but are voting "on policy" or "between the lesser of two evils." Take it up with them. Trump's policies are shit and even if they weren't, it's not enough to overlook the election denialism in my book. Don't tell us there'...

Re: Who are you voting for? Who do you think will win the election?
What Trump policies (past, present, future) actually serve to help the "working class?" None. Trump is a con man, a compulsive liar and a clinical narcissist who's capitalizing on the Democrats' vulnerabilities. What is the difference? The "casual Trump voter" is perfectly fine ...

Re: Who are you voting for? Who do you think will win the election?
That's because your group already knew that Trump was a dipshit conman that can't string a sentence together, and anyone voting for him at that time was either racist or stupid. We already heard the Access Hollywood tape by that time and that should have tanked his 2015 campaign in a second, but di...

Re: Who are you voting for? Who do you think will win the election?
People say that the "MAGA's" are the nasty people. Here is something I was witness to in about 2016 or so I was at dinner with my then girlfriend and a group of people. We were eating outside in a courtyard at a restaurant and right across was a bar with live music. Anyway, a guy from the...

Re: Who are you voting for? Who do you think will win the election?
I'm voting for Harris, but think Trump has the advantage in the Electoral College. She has to "run the table." Assuming she keeps Nevada blue (which is turning into a big if), she needs to win PA, WI, and MI to become president. Trump only needs to pick off one of those. There are a lot o...

Re: Best of these 80's hair metal/heavy metal ballads: Dmbrocker edition!
I don't know. Almost all these bands have better power ballads in their catalog. "Love Bites" is a classic. Mutt Lange perfection. I've come to appreciate "Heading for a Heartbreak" more over time. It's a little unconventional for a "hair band." I'm going to vote for &...

Re: Best Ballad from these 80s metal bands
I've always liked Damn Yankees' "Higher (Nuff)," but I'm going with "Home Sweet Home". The whole song is great, but it could win on the solo alone. This idea that it set the template for hair metal ballads is a bit of revisionist history. Ballads were around before then, and mor...

Re: Chrissie Hynde Will Have You Removed From The Front Row If She Sees You At More Than One Show
There's a reason for this. The Pretenders just played three U.K. dates in small venues (2K capacity or less) within a two-hour drive from each other before making the announcement.
Somebody (or some group) was annoying enough in the front row to be a distraction 2-3 nights in a row.

It's looking a lot better for the Dems since they swapped out the old timer, but I still don't have a good feeling about any of this. The polls have been way too close--I think Trump is going to win. Re: Of course it will never happen but…
Back when Poison used to do those shed package tours, I remember watching Cinderella's set, looking back and seeing a full lawn at Tinley Park in Chicago, which I think has 30,000 capacity. It wasn't sold out, but it was a big crowd. And it stuck with me how much people were enjoying the show and h...

Re: What's wrong with Mane Attraction?
We argue the same shit every few months. Slip of the Tongue and Heartbreak Station had the same problem: unremarkable lead singles. The follow-up power ballads were okay, but didn't match what came before on previous albums. Whitesnake's sound felt sterile and missed the grit and crunch of the '87 ...

Re: What's wrong with Mane Attraction?
Yeah they tried to make "Little Fighter" Wait pt. 2, but it didn't take. It didn't help that every VJ/DJ that introduced the song had to explain it's about Greenpeace. Otherwise, it's "what the fuck?" Big Game was basically White Lion's serious '90s album, released a few years e...

^^^ I was living overseas at the time. "Poison" was definitely a hit in Europe first and probably a little bit bigger over there. Wouldn't compare him to Bon Jovi-level though. Theaters made sense in the U.S. for that tour. Alice was still in comeback mode and you don't want to overshoot.

White Lion was on Atlantic. They probably loved being on the same label as Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, but resented a few of their younger label mates who were eating up the resources.
