Johnny Crash appreciation thread

Just recently revisited both Johnny Crash's debut, "Neighborhood Threat" , and shelved follow up "Unfinished Business" (released in 2008), both CD's kick ass! Obviously their sound was heavily influenced by AC/DC, but IMO they put their own "spin" on it, and I think some of their better songs are wh...

We have a big dog for home security, but no room in the nightstand for a "heater", that's where I store my Fleshlight (w/ Anal attachment).

Re: So, about Junkyard...

Ok, I revisited the debut and 6, 7 & 9's last night, while there are more solid songs/'highlights" than I remember, I still feel like there is also a whole lot of filler. IMO you could piece together one "good" album out of the two. Some other observations.....from the debut, the song "Texas" is ann...

I think Dee Snider is a much better vocalist than Twisted Sister's "one dimensional"/limited songwriting ability, would have you believe.

IMO the first Widowmaker CD is Dee's best vocal work and songwriting of his career.

"Back in the day" I heard (saw the video) for "Hollywood", I thought the song kicked ass, bought the album (cassette) and was disappointed that the majority of the other songs were forgettable bar filler. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaMqLXLoaX8 A couple years later I heard (saw the video) for '"...

Re: Band Merch / Firehouse and Winger last Saturday

Last Saturday I caught Firehouse and Winger at a casino just outside of Philly. It was sold out (500) and the bands sounded great. However, when it comes to merch, these guys - and most bands - fail. Firehouse, Winger, Skid Row, Pretty Boy Floyd, Bullet Boys... their merch set up was exactly the sa...

Cool. It gets better and better. Just finished hill house last night. Wtf was the last episode? It all of a sudden turned into “this is us”. Sounds just like him https://youtu.be/Orh6JEjtliE . Real question is how much are you liking Junkyard? Always been one of my favorites. I’ve really liked the couple of songs I listened to. I’m guessing their image held them back in the 80s/90s? I'm guessing that their first 2 CD's being mostly fill...

The band Nasty Habit, then Major Crush, now The Ende Brothers are a couple trust fund babies.

The fat faced singer/band Tempt is another marginal talent with family money to promote/back it.

I can't decide if it's the singers pedestrian/bar band level vocals or his complete lack of charisma that bothers me the most.
With Varone and Espsito, Jake has the foundation for a cool band, too bad he stuck with the bloated booze-face, deadeye singer for the 2nd CD.

Re: Great White With Mitch - "Lady Red Light"

These professional live video's are not helping the band........ Mitch can hit the notes, but his voice is void of any blues or soul , and IMO he looks like he's trying to keep his dentures from flying out when hitting the big notes. On paper I thought Mitch would be an upgrade over Terry Illious, b...

Raleigh selling well doesn't surprise me, the area is perfect for KISS 2018, 90% of the attendees will be "disposable income crowd", who won't recognize anything beyond Rock n Roll All Night, Shout It Out Loud and I Was Made For Loving You, and are going because it's something to do........
