Re: Erik Gronwall Has left Skid Row.

At this point, they have to go back to Bach. Whatever credit they just built up with their fan base just went out the window. yep, but that wont happen Nope. They’ll end Skid Row and call it quits before they ever reconcile with Bach. They have their pride and dignity and Bach has burned way too ma...

Re: How freaked out are you about fentanyl ?

Don't use drugs, haven't in decades, but it does freak me out. It feels like we're entering a new low in terms of addiction. After doctors started going to jail for writing excessive pain pill scripts, it looked like things would get better.... but with fentanyl out there they got ever worse.

It does seem like a very disingenuous and misleading claim on the ad.
He's literally the other voice of Ratt.

Re: BOBBY BITTER … Blotzer mocks Juan’s show announcements, calls him the “dancing Cuban bear” on social media

How is Juan "The Other Voice OF Ratt " ? I can't recall a single song he sang. Will he be vocalist for these shows ? Juan sang the high harmonies in Ratt - the same way Michael Anthony does in Van Halen. Listen to the chorus of "Nobody Rides", "Lay it Down", "Lovi...

As for Greg's claims: I don't think you can get definitively prove anything outside of the accepted timeline. Don is so full of shit these days that I think his memory has been thoroughly distorted by the lies he tells himself. I think the only thing you could do here is get on Instagram and ask Geo...

Re: Origin of "Paris is Burning" (Or: is Greg Leon really this full of shit?)

Bob Rock said himself Nikki told him he thought he had been ghosted over by session players. Dr Feelgood was where he made Nikki actually put in the work and record each piece in sections until it was perfect. Nikki is a famously bad bassist, specifically with meter issues - replacing people that we...

Re: ROY CATHEY = UNHAPPY ... I’m watching Gen X crowd request Tribute Bands for cruises designated for original artists

Back in the 80s you went to the hottest clubs in town on a Saturday night, you heard bands doing 100% cover sets. And it was fucking great. I don't know who this guy is. He doesn't matter. In fact I don't really get his point - kids today don't want to hear rock music of any kind of a cruise, they w...

Re: Is KK sinking all his money into KK's priest?

I think selling his share of the catalogue put him back on steady ground, financially.

I don’t think this thing will be a losing venture… he won’t be raking in the cash but he can definitely do okay with it.

I'm not a Kiss fan and make fun of them plenty, but this is a very cool. Sounds and looks great.... cool way to spend your time.

But why did you slow one of the songs down? Was this a preference thing or more due to a need to match up with alternate recordings?

Re: MARQ TORIEN Says ... "I want a number one top 10 Billboard hit on the rock radio. And that's what my goal is."

I'll admit the part about Lonnie living in the trailer park and his dad making them bologna sandwiches moved me. That's how it was growing up for us, and I think that's the story of most American rock bands from back in the day. There was the occasional Roth, Tom Scholz, etc, but most guys in bands ...

Yeah, I'm sure the only reason Marq didn't disband Bulletboys (thereby throwing away his only source of income) is that Ira Black told him he couldn't let his fans down. And Ira and our manager Jessica (Chase), especially Ira, said, ‘Listen, don’t cancel The Whisky show. Re: Fender Player Precision Bass for 80s Rock?

The guys tone in the video on the second bass he plays is great, but it’s a lot more modern.

It’s hard to believe now how little of the lower frequencies are on 80s rock bass tracks…. sound paper thin compared to modern tracks.

Re: Fender Player Precision Bass for 80s Rock?

So, if there's one style of music that you could make pretty much any style of bass work, it's 80's rock. That being said, the "Player" Fender Precision appears to be a P-only pickup bass (there's a single, split pickup). A P/J style bass (one that also has a jazz pickup in the bridge pos...

Wouldn't be surprised if management asked him to do it.

I saw them when Priest went out with Saxon a few years ago and one of my first thoughts was that Sneap looked ridiculous. Like a balding accountant hopped onstage in Priest gear to be funny.

Country music died the day Garth Brooks came on the scene.

The stuff that came before him... I love it.

The stuff after? Not gonna argue whether its good or not, but it isn't country music.

I checked out at Painkiller, but I'm skipping around now. A lot of it sounds too modern for my ears, but "Crown of Horns" absolutely kicks ass.
