Angus has said that Malcolm was already having trouble with his memory during this tour and needing to put in extra practice before concerts, but he seemed to be doing fine for the Argentina shows. The band sounds great, and the crowd are out of their minds!

Re: Billy Joel "And So It Goes" Documentary on HBO Max

I watched part 1 yesterday, and finished part 2 about an hour ago. Very good documentary. Anybody that even slightly considers themself a Billy Joel fan should check it out. Aside from the music itself, anybody interested in how the music industry works - at least how it ran from the 70s until today...

Re: POLL: Do you like the song "I can't drive 55" by Sam Hagar?

Ted Templeman produced it Must have been putting more of his time and energy into 1984 at the time. Most likely not, given 1984 was released on January 9, 1984 and VOA wasn’t released until July 23. That’s plenty of time. I like the production of VOA. Swept Away has always been a favorite of mine. ...

Hopelessly stuck in the 80s in terms of production, and not in a good way. Sounds like it could have or should have been part of the Beverly Hills Cop, Back to the Future or Miami Vice soundtrack. It doesn't rock much harder than "Ghostbusters." Having said that, it is kind of cool in a n...

Re: How will Sharon profit from Ozzys death?

I would expect a new Ozzy greatest hits or box set. Maybe albums of outtakes, unreleased songs and/or live tracks. Maybe some tasteless memorabilia with his birth and death dates. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a one-year anniversary show next year commemorating his death, but somewhere in Am...

Maybe he would have been bored off his tits, but the thing about this that makes me sad is that he didn't get to enjoy at least a couple of years of retirement back home in England. What the fuck do you think he's been doing all this time? He was living in America most of the time he's been off the...

He got to go out on top with so many around to honor him. We should all be so lucky. I agree. In spite of his health issues, I get the impression he was happy to hit the stage one last time. Just find it hard to believe it happened so quickly after his farewell show. Maybe he would have been bored ...

There's no way of knowing, but I sometimes wonder what great things guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and Randy Rhoads would have done had they lived longer. BTW, as a guy who just bought McCartney tickets a couple of hours ago, I'm OK with not seeing the '76 or '89 Macca. I'll still be getting a great show, and possibly my last chance at seeing a rock legend in the flesh. I’m not expecting ‘89 Macca or even ‘21 Macca from the last time I saw him. But I...

It probably helped give his career a boost, but my friends and I didn't go to the Trash show because we really wanted to hear "Poison", "Bed of Nails" and "House of Fire". I would guess between a quarter and a third of the setlist was from Trash , but it was an older cr...

Brian Johnson and Mick Jagger, no matter what they do, won't sound as good as they did 30 years ago, even if they're only playing twice a week for a couple of months Jagger still sounds pretty good...Johnson not so much but I mean his style of singing is very difficult to pull off at any age, let a...

Come a certain point, all the vocal exercises, herbal teas and surgeries aren't going to work. Your voice ages and some of the damage done to your voice isn't going to be treatable anymore. Even the luckiest or most genetically blessed professional athletes have to retire sooner or later. Some can a...

They were never my thing, but they had a formula that worked for a long time. To their credit, they seemed to be a fans' band and toured their asses off for many years. Unfortunately for them, Jon can't seem to cut if live anymore, and I think it is safe to say they were never the same band post-Sam...

Good band with a lot of very good songs. The clips I've seen from their shows in Cardiff and Manchester are impressive. The fans seem to be enjoying it. All the slagging off - between Liam and Noel, and between them and other bands - that has happened in the British press over the years is idiotic, ...

Re: Steve Tyler is 77 years old?!

I wonder if Aerosmith could have pulled off the farewell tour if they had better managed Tyler's vocal workload. Let him sing most of the songs, but with an extra vocalist or vocalist/keyboardist doubling/covering his vocals and maybe taking over the higher parts and screams. I think people would ha...

Yeah, and think about Neil Peart near the end of his time in Rush. It’s amazing he lasted as long as he did considering all the intricate virtuoso-type drumming he’d been doing all his career. Peart also did himself no favors by riding his motorcycle between gigs. That had to take something out of ...

Bryan Adams doesn't need the money, but he continues to release albums and always seems to be on the road, whether with his band or doing one man shows. Plays everywhere - North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, South America, South Africa - and doesn't dial it in.
