Re: Ghost - "Peacefield"

Not as strong as the last album, but I like it a lot. I love how they take killer metal riffs and mix in super AOR Big 80’s melodic choruses. And of course the humor and aesthetic of the band is awesome. Do yourself a favor and don’t look up what they look like out of costume. Spoiler: They’re prett...

Re: Toad the Wet Sprocket

They also have a little person for their drummer. They don’t and they never did. He had the brittle bone disease and some other disorders (one leg longer than the other, generally small physique, extra large deformed noggin) but he didn’t have dwarfism. And he left the band ten years ago. They’ve h...

Interesting interview. Inspired me to listen to Ultraphobic for the first time in 20 years. I still don’t like it. Stronger Now is beautiful and there are a few good ideas here and there but give me the first 3 Warrant albums over this any day. Congrats to Erik and Jerry and the boys for keeping it...

Re: Is Rick Beato legit?

Well, he never played on a hit, or wrote a hit, and based on his production credits on wikipedia, it doesn't appear he ever produced, engineered or mixed a hit, either. I mean, I liked the Fozzy and Stuck Mojo albums he worked on 15-20 years ago, and Rick technically has a writing credit on Enemy, ...

Re: Favorite 2024 releases / most anticipated of 2025

In conclusion ‘vigil’ is best album start to finish , but the second album benefits most from the remix remaster treatment I thought “Poet’s Moon” could have actually gotten somewhere commercially. That and “Shadowplay” are probably my favorites from Internal Exile. Thanks for your info re: those b...

Absolutely nothing other than re-releases The fish (ex marillion singer) deluxe boasts of his first two albums were superb. 2024 had nothing else, 2025 even less. Rock is dead. I don’t agree that rock’s dead at all, but…. Tell me about those Fish albums… how are they better than the original releas...

Joker.

Really good, but not "fantastic". Pretty much exactly what I expected it would be. Definitely makes some political points about society valuing the wealthy and not giving a single fuck about the mentally ill and struggling. NOT A SUPERHERO MOVIE!!

"Hustlers" - 8/10 This is a really good movie. The dancing/club stuff is obviously slick-looking, but the movie is quite dramatic and artfully crafted, which I wasn't expecting. Some of Jennifer Lopez's best acting work to date is in this, and Constance Wu gives a great performance as wel...

Re: Rate the last movie you saw

I just watched “Ready Player One” on Blu-ray. Looked really cool, I’m sure it was fantastic in 3D D-Box. If you are a video gamer, there are probably hundreds of references and background elements you will recognize. I’m not, but I still liked the movie. 4/5
