Re: STP at Welcome to Rockville
WTF do you want STP or AIC to do when a singer dies or departs? Close shop and go home? Over the years, there have been so many "complaints" about this. You'd swear a crime was committed when Adam Gontier left Three Days Grace. The dude from My Darkest Days steps in and does fine, but yea...

Re: STP at Welcome to Rockville
I am a big STP fan, I think Jeff does well, but it just doesn’t feel right. He sounds too much like Weiland. However, I guess people would complain if he didn’t sound like Weiland enough. It’s a no win situation.

Re: Sebastian Bach - Child Within the Man
I didn’t expect this album to be his best solo release, but it is. He made a statement with this album. I supported the SR goes with their various singers in the past, but they are out of options at this point. Also, pound for pound, these songs are better than the songs on The Gang’s All Here.

Vince lacks any energy whatsoever. The last time he demonstrated any enthusiasm on stage was arguably 2005.

A lot of surprises in the setlist as promised. They are so lazy. All they did was throw in On With the Show and Dogs of War. They’ve played OWTS a lot since the 2005 reunion…that one isn’t much of a surprise. Also, nobody wants to hear SOS anymore.

I don’t care that this a complete 180 from their classic sound….I just want to hear a good song. This is far from a good song. Besides the generic riff and lack of any hooks, Nikki forgot how to write engaging lyrics. The fact that they are going to play this song live in place of something such as ...

Re: SEBASTIAN BACH On Reunion With SKID ROW: 'The Only Thing Standing In Our Way Is The Business Side Of This'
Remember, Sebitchia is delusional. However, a case could be made for a reunion, but I dont think this would increase their draw. Maybe get on a package/larger tour? If it does happen, I would expect to see very minimal interaction offstage between Sebitchian and the band. Sep busses? I think ...

I enjoyed the first album quite a bit. After that it became very stale. James Michael’s whiny vocals and sappy lyrics become too much.

Agreed. The only thing that sounds remotely close to a Mick Mars idea. This is so disappointing. Proves he wasn’t much of a force in the Motley songwriting machine.

I don’t think this comparison holds much water. I’m not going to see bands because of the way they dress. I’m going to hear the songs. Appearance has no impact on the music. Tapes on the other hand….

Tracii isn’t a songwriter. Never was. Don’t underestimate the amount of writing Cripps and Nickels did on those first 4 records.

Caught the original Wanted Man himself on Long Island last night. Crowd was kind of light, but it was a Sunday night and it’s been brutally cold here in the Northeast. If I took a guess I would say that there were about 300 people in attendance at the Patchogue Theatre, which is a great place to cat...

When Scott Weiland died, his ex-wife said that he was a million in debt, which was surprising. Just read an interview with his son. The best show I saw during that era was Sebastian Bach in ‘98 at Coney Island High, a punk/hardcore club in NYC. The energy from the crowd and the band was intense. He was do good back then. I caught him again in ‘99 at a place called Life in NYC. Joey Ramone was there. He was managing the opening a...
