Re: Alice Cooper is playing high school gyms now?
As good as the record was, the Born Again tour was a legendary disaster that served as a tableau for Spinal Tap and a catalyst for a DP MK II reunion. Is that record really "good" or just in "so bad it's good territory?" Lets not forget, it was the first Sabbath album to not eve...

I guess he had more clothes/hair in the 80s. The Gary Numan look doesn't suit him.

Re: Alice Cooper is playing high school gyms now?
Well once you get to singer #3, the fans usually split if they didn't by #2. See also Van Halen.
The tour certainly didn't help sales. People also bag on the mix, but I kinda like it. Despite its flaws, It's certainly much better than anything that followed.

Re: Disco-ee songs by rock bands
This is a pretty tough subject, really, because there are sooo many rock songs from the late 70s/early 80s that clearly had some amount of disco influence. It's hard to tell how much of it sort of just seeped in and how much was "alright we need a hit, lets just fucking make a disco song"...

Can't recall Journey playing anything but afternoon slots at festivals over here, to be honest. Yeah, Europe doesn't give a damn about Journey and never has... Van Halen suffered the same fate. They suffered because the bros didn't want to travel outside America, which was ridiculous given that the...

They typically have no qualms about not tipping if they don't want to. This is why I won't work anywhere that uses Groupon. Brings in the bitchiest cheapskates that don't tip or tip on the reduced amount. Then they write reviews because the app suggests it. . You should not work in Maryland, at lea...

They're all streaming on Hulu right now: old ones, reboots, everything. I watched the first one last night. Still brilliant for its time. Watching an astronaut smoke a cigar on board a spaceship is so '60s. Then I watched "Beneath the Planet of the Apes." Holy crap, that was awful. The fi...

Michael Monroe and/or Hanoi Rocks? That may be the wrong answer though because I think he/they really are underrated! Did they ever have a gold or platinum record? top 40 hit? I feel like everyone knows who he is and who they were but probably can't mention many songs from them! Overrated, not unde...

Everything About You. My friend called it the "Poison solo". It's garbage, but it works somehow.
Speaking of Poison solos, Every Rose fits here too. Simple and fits the vibe well.
