Re: Motley Carnival of Sins tour
I enjoyed it fine. The arena was almost a half-configuration with the stage near the center of the floor. It was the first time I noticed the Crue was playing to click track of some sort. "Don't Go Away Mad" was slow and stiff. Went to one of the shows on that tour and that was the first ...

So LA Guns minus Tracii ((Riley/Blades version) was touring all over the place, also in Europe and even Australia at some point. Now they are firing on all cylinders again they never leave the US. I read online recently that Phil said the reason is they had a good thing going in the US. GTF outta h...

I seem to remember that there were rumors that Johnny Solinger was on speed dial and promo photos with him were taken before everyone cooled down and sorted their hash. (Assuming 1. My memory isn’t shit and 2. The rumors were true did those photos ever get leaked?) (Also, fuck me im old) Perhaps my...

Re: "SALIVA BEYOND"
How many original members are still in the band that has the name? None. This is a similar situation to what happened to TSOL. In that case the singer and drummer quit and got replaced. Eventually the guitarist quit and the bassist was fired. The original band reunited and played some shows but the...

Re: Which Band Deserved More Success? - A Poll
I don't remember any songs from many of those bands. Too much time would be involved for me to effectively participate in this poll. Yeah these bands didn't even have a baseline level of success. Life Sex And Death had some success with the song ''School's for Fools'' which was featured in an episo...

Similar to Butch Walker there were a few musicians from the 80s metal scene who attempted to make Power-pop music. Which album did you think was the best?

No, but I did see Arcade open for Bon Jovi in Tampa. Does that count? I saw Arcade play in a Florida club in 1993 and it was one of the worst concerts i had ever been to. The radio stations advertising for the concert kept playing Ratt music and nothing from Arcade. So everybody who was there expec...

So i'm guessing this is the reason why the rest of the band is doing The Defiants with Paul Laine. They could've put the albums out as Danger Danger but it's possible Ted owns some of the rights to the name.

Saw them live a month before this album came out. To me Jani is the one and only true vocalist for Warrant and this was the first and only time i saw Warrant live without Jani singing. The band sounded good and Jaime St. James tried his best. Was never a fan of Black 'n Blue but he sang well.

What if TSOl had put out ''Strange Love'' two years earlier and changed their name.
What if Contraband had Jack Russell or Glenn Hughes sing for them.
What if Don Dokken had put out "Up From the Ashes'' as the fifth Dokken album.

Is Slaughter still even touring? I don't even hear about them around here except as a dig I think any Slaughter shows these days are just Mark and Strum with two other dudes that happen to have a week off to rehearse and play something like Rocklahoma. Vince Neil must pay Strum pretty well to keep ...

The drummer was the only one who sounded good. Songs were tuned down so low they sounded unrecognizable....

Don't recognize who the drummer is for this show. Some of the comments say it's Michael “Bones” Gersema but it doesn't look like him at all. I think the drummer might be Nicky Alexander (who played on the debut) with a shaved head. That's not Nickey. He never shaved his head, but also, that is just...

Re: DRUM WAR … Michael Sweet compares brother Robert Sweet to Tommy Lee: “Robert would play circles around him”
I used to be a fan of Stryper, but over the past 5-7 year, Michael's ego and level of douche baggieness has gotten to the point that it annoys more more than I enjoy Stryper. I've passed on going to their shows and getting the newer albums (they all look and sound the same anyways), because he is j...

Only way it stops is if people stop buying tickets to see this trash. And they never will. Exactly. I saw Dokken a couple of weeks ago. They were handing out free tickets so I figured why not. I knew what I was getting. Place was half full (800 capacity). Even with Lynch on a couple of songs. I thi...

I like the Water record but it needed less experimental songs. Close to You almost sounds like Smashing Pumpkins. It's good that they are playing songs from the other albums. I remember when i met them after seeing them live in 2017 i asked them why they didn't play One Step Closer or Killing Ground...

What was the Jabberwocky timeline? He started recording material for this project in 1993. Some songs that he had planned for Jabberwocky ended up being recorded for Ultraphobic and Belly to Belly. One of the songs Fingerprints was originally going to be on a planned follow up to Belly to Belly bef...
