Better is the best meaning most well rounded... but if Axl wasn't all Mickey Rose I think Catcher in the Rye might do it. Or maybe Shackler's Revenge.. or Prostitute.

Alcohol is alcohol... there's no more sober alcohol vs other alcohol. I think we're all on the same page here, but wine is gonna get you drunk like other alcohol gets you drunk because it's alcohol.

Some guys just defy life... him, Keith, Mick Jagger (who has taken care of himself with top notch everything), Iggy...they are the lucky ones. The exception no doubt.

I caught some, but competitions don't hold my attention. I still loosely follow the videos, and keep my Thrasher subscription. Good stuff overall, but X-Games are meh to me. If it was in person, I'm sure I'd be blown away though. I think you need to step on a skateboard to fully grasp what these peo...

Re: Chinese Democracy vs. Velvet Revolver's Contraband
I'll go with Chinese Democracy. I'm not an audiophile by any means, nor should anyone here who believes Poison's 80's output is amazing, but to me Contraband seemed like a wall of guitar to me. Not all the songs or all the parts, but it was to "filled out" and there was no space for the tw...

As an NJ Devils fan, I want Adam Henrique to get a cup though he got traded more than a decade ago. Other than that, don't feel too strongly. Like a good dynasty every now and and again, but don't really want Florida doing it.

Re: Rate This Song: "Better" by Guns N' Roses
Better is a GREAT song. I give it a 9. Axl sounds good, the verses have great melody. The end part he conjures up some classic Axl scream vocals - no Micky Mouse shit here. I know Slash is back, but he could have done some nice guitar soloing on this track. Not sure what he's doing live.

Sesame bagel for me with plain cream cheese. If I'm doing a sandwich then Taylor Ham (aka pork roll - might not be a thing outside of my area), egg, and cheese with pepper and a little ketchup - prefer a hard roll for the sandwiches but IF I was doing one with a bagel, that's the move.

Didn't see anyone post anything, so I will. Overall One Sentence : MM & band played an energetic, well done, and enthusiastic set to a mix of older rockers and "young punks". Venue Venue was Racket, which is the site of the former Highline Ballroom. Pretty small venue - saw some online...

I'm into the clubs (eg Irving Plaza, Webster Hall both in NYC). It's easy for me to go to those right after work or train in. Going to see Michael Monroe next week at Racket. That type of show is still cool for me. My main issue with the shows isn't my age (37), but a lot of the bands I want to see,...

Well, gtrjay, true artists take risks and explore art outside of the boundaries that many would consider "safe" or "comfortable", which is exactly what Bret is doing by risking it all in a hot tub.
