Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread

Damn, Taker must be really fucked up if he's still hurting after all the time off. Maybe it's time to hang 'em up and ride off into the sunset. A hell of a career for a guy who was given a gimmick that could just as easily gone the way of The Goon.

Re: Superstitions

I don't have any superstitions as a fan, but when I played hockey my team was the Leafs and when I goaltended I would place a Maple leaf in the net before the game. It didn't help me at all, I was a TERRIBLE goalie. (I was our emergency goalie when our 2 real goalies couldn't make it. It was basical...

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread

Genesis suffered from having barely any build-up, but at least the main event delivered. And Christopher Daniels (Kazarian, too) is awesome right now, so I hope they'll keep him in the title picture for a bit. I'm also surprised how well the whole Joseph Park angle actually works. Yeah, having Park...

My buddy's bummed out because he scalps....sorry, "secondary markets"....some of his Blackhawks season tickets and it's way harder to sell most Western Conference teams. Detroit and St. Louis always sell quickly, but Calgary? Nashville? Columbus? Dallas? Not nearly as much. He was kind of ...

Re: The New (Spam Free) Never Ending Wrestling Thread

When someone makes the Rock step up HIS game, you know greatness is about to happen. You could see the anger building up in his face and he knew he had been beaten. But it just makes me wonder that much more just how awesome a Punk/Austin confrontation could be. They're cut more from the same cloth...

A good amount of funny moments, but way too "down" for a comedy.
Paul Rudd was very good, though.

Mark my words, when this is all said and done, the way the owners are going to print more cash for themselves is to expand by two teams. It's all mapped out. Seattle and Quebec City will have teams, and if it's not via relocation, it will be via expansion. Write it down. Fuck, I hope not. Phoenix s...

Rock's definitely getting a title run. 3 months is a decent enough amount, he can squeeze TV in for that long. The bad part is that it will lead to another Cena title reign.

Exactly, what good would either having Rock or HHH beating Undertaker serve? None whatsoever. They need to elevate new stars, and one of the best ways to do it is by having the Undertaker lose to one of them. Seriously, this isn't boxing or MMA, it's pro scripted wrestling, and his legend will stil...

I was surprised when he didn't come back in after the half. I didn't think he got hit that hard. It might have been a different story if he had. He was killing Houston with those runs. He shouldn't have played the last 7 snaps. On another note...A drive killing holding penalty, a drive killing fumb...

Missed the game yesterday as I was away with the wife on our 10 year wedding anniversary. Of course, I kept up with the score. 8) Sounds like United dominated and missed a bunch of chances including a Rooney penalty. Arsenal were weak. Good results all round though, including the dippers dropping p...

Just got home from the Chicago Wolves game. They blew a 5-2 lead in the 3rd period but scored late to win 6-5. Small crowd, especially for a Saturday (5,100 people there). Sloppy game, but a fun time.

I started watching it yesterday but I got confused. They said AWA was basically the Mid west/ Illinois territory of NWA that broke away...but if AWA was so successful why were they based out of Minneapolis? I looked at their title history and no title change in Chicago until 1980. Was it because NW...
