Did you ever play in or work for a band?Jason Jennifer Leigh wrote: ↑Thu Sep 11, 2025 8:14 am I never liked the first one, it was boring … IMO.
I didn’t like it 100 years ago and I watched it again recently to see what I didn’t get when I was younger and I still didn’t like it.

It's better than calling it Butt Rock. I follow/support a local record store & one day the owner was making a video about a bunch of vinyl that came in and he mentioned he got a lot of rare Butt Rock. I never purchased anything from him again. Idiot.

Re: So I finally watched The Decline of Western Civilisation Part II
I saw it in the theater on opening day. Me & my buddy were too young, so my older bro bought the tickets for us. He didn't even bother to go inside & watch the movie with us. My & my buddy were the ONLY two people in the theater. We were both 14 years old.

I go to the movies up to 4 times a week, so I've seen it all. Whenever I see someone walk in with the FREE water cup filled with soda, I know they are going to be talkers.

To me and my high school buddies at the time it was a big deal. Why? Do you remember the interviews in magazines like Circus or Hit Parader at the time? Wouldn't it have been cool if they had written some songs together? I don't even remember how we found out. I'd guess it would have been the magaz...

Re: Ratt Detonator U.S. tour
As someone who watched an absolute shitload of MTV in 1990-1991, Detonator was DOA. Winger, Poison, Warrant, Skid Row, Motley, Cinderella, Slaughter, and to a lesser extent Trixter and later Firehouse were what was on the air from mid 90 to mid 91. I NEVER saw videos from Ratt. Ever. I think I saw ...

I was a Priest fan but I didn't have Stained Class. I clearly remember going to a used record store and picking up the cassette for $1. I'm sure a lot of people did the same thing.

Re: We need to talk about Hot in the Shade. (Yes. We do.)
"Beth" may have been their biggest hit when it was current, but it barely stuck around. "Heaven's On Fire" and "Lick It Up" aged better and still get play. I'd call those two bigger overall hits, despite not charting in the top-40 (and the way Billboard ranks that stuf...

Still feels like they didn`t really have an international crossover hit other than IWMLY. Very few short stints in the Top-10 single charts anywhere in the world. Kiss got a lot of mileage out of being a popular live music phenomenon and teen heroes 1975-1978. Lick It Up and Heaven's On Fire are pr...

It's been this way for a while now. I took a bunch of CDs and some tapes to a local record store (CD Trader - I'm sure Stevie knows this spot on Ventura Blvd.) They bought some of the CDs & they bought ALL of the tapes I had & even asked if I had any more. The ones worth money all the ones r...

I was only 12 when it came out and I knew they looked and sounded different from the Priest I knew and loved in the videos, but after seeing 'Parental Guidance' on MTV I bought the cassette. I used to play that and Priest...Live a lot back then, but I haven't listened to them in probably 25-30 years...

Who's he going to get to play drums? About a week ago a DJ on Hair Nation talked about this. He said he was with Billy Sheehan recently and that he told him he "played on a new Peter Criss album and that it's really good." He also said that Billy Sheehan played it for Ray Luzier & Ray...

At my last job I listened to KLOS over the speakers. I would let my employess hook up their phones and play their music but I got tired of them playing music with cursing, N word, complaining & fighting over which song to play next or they'd skip songs half way through. So as the boss I put it o...

Re: Why weren’t Buckcherry bigger ?
I remember loving the first CD. I was excited to see ROCK coming back! I didn't like the 2nd CD as much. So I guess I lost interest then. 'Crazy Bitch' got a lot of attention but I didn't buy that CD. I did get to see them open for Crue in 08, KISS in 09 & a couple of club shows since. They alwa...
