How about the first Badlands album? I don't know if it's universally liked here, but it's got to be close. I've been posting here for 25 years (which boggles my mind, but that's a whole different story) and can't recall this album ever getting any kind of significant hate.

Re: Ozzy Tribute -MTV VMAs

I work at a guitar shop and lemme tell you something. Teenage girls come in ALL the time, pick up guitars and blast riffs that would make every single one of you shut the fuck up with this 'kids today' crap. I regularly hear riffs and solos from Ozzy, Megadeth, Van Halen, Metallica, Type O Negative...

She looks like the kind of woman who sits alone in a bar during the day, complains that she can't smoke indoors anymore, tries to get every single male who walks into the place to buy her a drink, closes her eyes and sways back and forth every time a Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks song comes up on th...

Clutch - Emo's, Austin TX 8/5/25 I'd never been to Emo's before, it's a great well run venue. First up was Inspector Cluzo, a drum and guitar duo from France. I'd heard of these guys, but went in blind and was really impressed. They had a straight ahead 70's hard rock vibe and I was really digging i...

I have a Zack Attack World Tour 1992 shirt --- fictional band from Saved by the Bell. Never ceases to garner a few chuckles or comments. The Randy Watson tour shirt is a good one. These are the tees that are fun at any age. Also the Who Farted? shirt from Revenge of the Nerds... never grow up. I've...

Re: Great new Bryan Adams track - Roll with the Punches

I haven't listened to anything Bryan Adams has put out since the early 90's but I clicked on this one out of curiosity and it wasn't bad at all. The guy sounds pretty much the same and looks great for 65.

Re: 40 YEARS LATER … Autograph classic voice Steve Plunkett has just released “Turn Up The Radio – 2025”

It's funny, Autograph hasn't been on my radar at all. I hadn't thought about them probably since the 80's but shortly after seeing this post I bought a box of about 70 CDs and sure enough there's a copy of Sign In Please. Nothing else from the era at all, just that one. Maybe I'll even give it a lis...

Re: How’s your golf game been?

Not really adding anything to the conversation but I live within easy walking distance of a small golf course. I've never golfed before but am thinking about giving it a shot. I already walk a lot for exercise and 18 holes at this place is only $18 so I'll likely give this place a shot one of these ...

anything I can see through, other than the occasional Heineken. I prefer IPAs but I Hate (with a capital H) beer culture. I feel no need to comment on what anyone else drinks and want the same courtesy in return. It's a fucking drink preference, not a lifestyle.

Re: Recreating Monsters of Rock Tour w/ Tributes

I saw this tour in Seattle with my now wife, I remember it being surprisingly underwhelming. It didn't help that it was in the Kingdome as the acoustics are not even a consideration there, and we had seats that were pretty far away. Thinking back, maybe what it was is that it seemed like the vibe g...

What's going on? They fired their weirdo singer and became a really good cover band. When I saw them opening for Priest in 2022 they played all my favorite songs, stuff from RFO and earlier. I was so bored. I caught that tour too and they were boring as hell. I think they were even boring themselve...

I'm a fan of both but it's Alice over Soundgarden all day every day. It's not even close. AIC's music, even the post Layne stuff and Jerry Cantrell's solo albums still hit me like a sledgehammer. Soundgarden is (was) great and both bands outshined (bad pun intended) their other Big 4 comrades and I ...

I’m very surprised that Eddie Trunk wasn’t at the Ozzy farewell . Nobody can deny his contributions to the rock and metal community as a whole . He should have been asked to cover the event . The career longevity that bands like Sabbath , Zeppelin , Aerosmith , etc have is largely in part due to Ed...

Let's see, they could have gone with the guy that 95% of the world won't know or recognize, and that's being generous, and of the 5% that does know who he is, 75% of them can't stand him. Or Jason Momoa. Real tough call.

Good that you admit that- home ownership sucks! I have done that and hated the stress and responsibility that comes with it. I don't care about the advantages either. Now owning rentav property, that could be a goal. You make money from it. I go back and forth on whether I prefer owning over rentin...

My 40's. I'm 52 now and my 50's are pretty damn good, but the job I had throughout most of my 40's was so much better than the job I have now. I'm also a homeowner for the first time in my life which has it's pros and cons, but does add a layer of stress I didn't have in my 40's. Overall, life has b...
