Re: Ozzy at Download Festival Paris

Damn, that Suicide Solution clip is downtuned quite a bit...! Sounds like it was a fun time, but aside from Ghost, I think I would have been bored the rest of the day (Never quite got into Opeth...), and logistically would have been a difficult trek for me even though I was seriously considering goi...

Re: DEAD MEMBER = ETERNAL SUCCESS ... Seems like EVERY huge band had someone bite the dirt, to cement their legacy

Gotta disagree...with a few of them. First of all, who's to say that a band wouldn't have continued having success without a death? The Doors could have continued being even more successful if Jim was still alive and grown even bigger (à la Rolling Stones). Queen were already quite successful before...

This. And it's not even close.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that a Best Buy exclusive? If yes, then that would be normal as that was a "loss-leader".

Meh...I can't judge the lineup...it's clearly a non-metal festival and I don't like a single one of those bands.

But will clearly have more hot trim walking around than at your typical metal festival. If I lived nearby and won free tickets I'd go.

Ozzmosis vs. Down to Earth

I know the general consensus around here is that D2E sucks, but I just listened to both albums today and still prefer the latter album... Ozzmosis has some great tunes (Just want you, Thunder underground, Old LA tonight...) but a lot of filler too and the production is kinda dull to my ears; the gui...

Araya, the oldest member, is only 57 -- a mere babe in classic-rock years — so it’s entirely possible we haven’t really, really seen the last of Slayer. The band has new music on the way, so it remains to be seen if this is just farewell … for now. Scott Mervis: [email protected].com. Cool revie...

For every 3 or 4 good sound guys out there, there's 1 shitty/careless/clueless one... I can't count how many times my band has showed up early to mid-afternoon to do a full sound check - getting everything so that it sounds perfect (in the context of a standard basic 4-piece metal band with no backi...

WTF? 25 frets on that guitar?!
I don't think so. Looks like after the 24th fret theres just some space before the fingerboard ends. I could be wrong.
You're prolly right...plus the body would make it extra hard to play notes there, the 24th fret is hard enough to reach...
