Re: The NFL Thread

Someone please explain to me why Buffalo, or anyone for that matter, would pick up Rex Ryan? Why would Rex Ryan get another job? Great coordinator, legendary family line, two AFC Championship games. Well, that's why I'm asking. I'm a college fan so when I ask this question, I'm sincerely asking...n...

Re: The NFL Thread

John Fox out in Denver. Can't say I'm shocked. We all knew that was coming. He'll land on his feet, but he's no spring chicken. One last gig somewhere. 5 years and he'll be off to the retirement home. Interesting that he was able to eek out an above .500 percentage in Carolina with guys like Delhom...

Re: The NFL Thread

Two observations: No matter where you stand on the Dez Bryant call - the play call sucked and you have to wonder what the hell the coach was thinking. If the Cowboys scored, that was too much time on the clock for Rodgers. Plus, Seattle would break Tony Romo in half and the Cowboys would've been stu...

So is Peyton finished? I'd have to say it's 50/50. He's looked like shit for weeks now, and there are some changes coming to the Denver team. I'm sure they'd take him back but Peyton always struck me as the kind of guy who wouldn't hang around too long. He's rich and given the fact that he never me...

That was a shit call, the week after a shit call. I guess they balance out but to be honest two weeks in a rule of horrid game changing calls leave a bad taste in my mouth. I had no dog in either fight, just 100% unbiased opinion. Bad call.

I don't see how Atlanta is supposed to be a better job than Buffalo. The Bills showed some promise this year and like Gritt said the chance to stay in the same division will be fun. Time to clean house in Cincinnati. Mike Brown will remind fans that Marvin pulled this team out of their 90s funk and has been to the playoffs 6 times and say "no way, I don't believe in firing people." Watch and see. He also signed a contract extension through next season. Don't know how...

Marvin Lewis and Andy Dalton did their annual charity playoff gig. Today was a like a bye-week for the Colts, only better because they got to practice for the Broncos by beating on the Bengals.

And this is coming from a Browns fan, so remember, he wasn't exactly "loved" here in the 90s. I have little doubt that Belichick would've won that first Super Bowl with Drew Bledsoe at the helm - that team was stacked. Why? It wasn't his fault Modell moved the team, Belichick probably wou...
