Re: Do you like Sammy solo?

No.

It took me years before I could even stomach Van Hagar.

I gave Chickenbutt a whirl, some time around what we can call the That Metal Show era, where it seemed like everyone was starting supergroups and they all sounded virtually identical.

74% of them had Glenn Hughes in the band.

Re: Ultimate Sin is a brilliant album

I celebrate both the Randy and Jake albums as "classic Ozzy."

Ozzy's success with Zakk speaks for itself, and NMT is a great album, but it was a different vibe. Ozzy was trying to become more respectable and choke out his wife less. The music suffered.

Calling it now: AVH's Brothers will be made into a movie. And it will suck.

The opening scene writes itself: The Van Halen family on a ship, coming over from the Netherlands, playing music to pay their way. Once they land in America, the kids can't speak a word of English so they learn to communicate through MUSIC. :o The rest of the movie will be about how they drank a lot.

That would be a C.
But that would make anything under a 6/10 an F.

I didn't work out the grading system. I'll get back to you once I finish the syllabus.

The new (CIA operative) Taylor Swift album--my (Soros-financed) review

I like it. She's a pretty good lyricist.

But a lot of these songs sound the same to me.

At the end of the day, I'm not a 9 year old girl so I'm not the audience here. It's fine for what it is.

I'd give it a B+, maybe a 7.5/10.

VH3 does indeed have some cool guitar stuff on it but suggesting it's anywhere near, say, Fair Warning is preposterous.

I would. I didn't know he was a pronoun until he said so, in the 90's. Before that, he had all kinds of chicks jump his bones.

Then he was like "I am a he/gay" and he was.
