Re: bret off the road
I don't know why he's announcing this now. He could've waiting until the end of the summer when his brain tumor comes back and the doctors force his to take the year off. Then the love of the fans gives him the strength to come back and do another 45 minute set. Bret on skin cancer: "I'll admit...

Re: If you die, will your workplace acknowledge your death in any way?
The more appropriate question would be, "Would I care or acknowledge if everyone at my workplace died but me." I think you and I are in competition for "Most Over with Corporate America". Still..it's not polite to wish death upon your co-workers. :) Most of us are expendable. It...

Re: Sharing 🎂 with Bret Michaels today must be awesome
I love Bret and wish him a happy birthday but talk about one lucky motherfucker. A one octave vocal range and a 9 song set that includes 2 covers and a drum solo. How the fuck did he make a solo career out of that? Amazing.

Re: Bon Jovi - Legendary
On first listen, I stand corrected. That's not a It's My Life rip off. At best, it's an album track from What About Now. Jon's nasally computerized voice and the mention of Sweet Caroline and Brown Eyed Girl in the chorus annoyed me. But what IMMEDIATELY pissed me off!!!!!! And I fucking mean this f...

Re: Sebastian with another banger! Everybody Bleeds
On first listen....like most of his solo songs, it sounds like a kid just jotted down a bunch of random lines. It's not a song. Even the music was odd. The parts didn't fit together well...verse into pre-chorus into chorus, etc. The video started out charming with the Maxell commercial throwback and...

I always loved "This is How You Remind Me". I love that little drum fill right when the drums kick in.
I still like that song but Photograph and Rockstar are so damn retarded, my IQ is dropping just writing this!

Here's the lead single from the last album with Richie. https://youtu.be/chXJFjrl-Q4?si=xBsqeIM9idLFchaO He left the band during the tour for this album...oddly enough. THAT sounded like AI generated Bon Jovi! And there is no way that's Richie playing the "solo". I'm pretty sure that's ju...

Re: How old do you act?
I came to the conclusion long ago that I was born in the wrong decade. I've always acted 10 years older than I am. In my "singles" I was a teenager. In my teens I was in my 20's and so on... Now, in my 40's I'm pretty damn mellow. I like it on the quiet side most of the time which is funny...

He sounds good. And I thought he sounded amazing on "This is the Moment" back in his Broadway days. His personality will keep him from being a wedding singer though.

On a human level, my first instinct is to calm the peace. Especially if it's in a public place where others may get hurt. But ultimately... fuck it. It's none of my business. Get out. You don't know why these people are fighting and you don't know what they are capable of. I've got my own fucking pr...

Michael Sweet playing in a really small bar in Long Island. Was this the very early 2000's? I think I was at that show! In the late 90's and early 2000's there were a lot of pop up places. They weren't really rock clubs. They were just rented out for the night. I saw a few bands in places like that...

That was my first thought too! It's not exactly healthy but it doesn't fit in with his image. Talk about a great hangover food though (with lots of Sriracha, of course!)

A friend of mine saw the Goo Goo Dolls in the early days before "Name" and their countless other hits. I don't think anybody saw that coming! As for me... the only one I can think of is Alex Grossi! :) It was his 90's band called The Flames and I'm pretty sure Matt Starr was in the band too.

The list of smart musicians would probably be shorter! Even a musical genius like Michael Jackson was an idiot. I watched the We are the World special last night. The dude hums the music...doesn't play a note. He stands 6 feet away from everyone. Doesn't take his sunglasses off. Has a monkey and/or ...

As a kid, I loved it all. I think Tony’s and Ellio’s were my favorites. I liked Mystic Pizza too but that was hard to find.
These days I pretty much only buy the “EAT Pizza” brand or Table 88 which is actually flash frozen. I buy the plain one and add my own toppings.

James Dean. A fair to average actor who made 3 movies then fatally wrecked his car. One of the original causes of "the deader he gets, the better he was" myth. Forever young. Live fast, die young, leave a pretty corpse. Rebel Without a Cause is pretty damn good but I think his legacy is m...

When I saw Whitesnake on the Flesh & Blood tour....even though I didn't like the album very much, I like what David Coverdale said. He said "We need the old songs for the memories but we need the new songs to live". So, I say, let them play a few new ones but no more than 25% of the s...

Re: Legacy acts. No new material vs. Mediocre material (Poll)
I'm on the fence about this one. For many of our 80's rock guys, I truly feel later albums were "mediocre" because of limited budgets and no real producer. It just doesn't exist like it used to. It's gotten better in recent years but there are some late 90's and early 2000''s records that ...

David Lee Roth on the other hand may have a few screws loose.

The overuse of technology, smartphones, K-pop, 99 cent pizza... How about family life in general? It's an opioid. Like Heroine. 500x more powerful than heroine. Basically a nearly microscopic amount of it will get you fucked out of your mind. Prince was addicted to a painkiller called oxycodone when he died, but he didn't have it in his system. He had fentanyl in him. He bought counterfeit oxys...
