WORST PERSON EVER TO PLAY IN A STADIUM.

In a bar, I might have enjoyed him.

This Green Day riff is from another song! Can’t quite place it!!

It’s killing me that I can’t think of it but the main riff is from a different tune. Fuck.

Re: Warrant Ultraphobic Tour

I love all the warrant records. I love the jabberwocky record. I love the Saints of the Underground record. I love the “Back Down to One” record. I love everything I ever heard that jani wrote. And I’m thankful that warrant still plays his songs live. I saw them Summer 1990 at Red Rocks at the peak ...

I loved the first album they did with Gutt (pronounced Goot).
Never really gave their next album (an acoustic record called “Perdida”) a fair shot.

I think Gutt sounds and performs great.

Re: What Was The Deal With Marillion?

I see Fugazi mentioned here but not their debut. In my opinion the best are 1. Clutching at Straws 2. Script from a Jester`s Tear 3. Misplaced Childhood 4 Fugazi I think Fish`s olo career was much closer to the spirit of original Marillion than the Hogart era Marillion. Nothing against Hogart, but ...

Re: What Was The Deal With Marillion?

Misplaced Childhood and Clutching at Straws are GREAT. sure a bit derivative or Pink Floyd meets Genesis, but still great songs, lyrics, and all around works. I ignored them after Fish left (and yes, and others said, he sounds more like Peter Gabriel than Phil Collins), but I recently found some of...

I saw them (try to) open for Rush on the Power Windows tour. It went as well as expected, with Fish at one point imploring the crowd to "Give the band a chance!" The crowd did not. I saw that tour. They were received fine at the show I saw. They came out and played Misplace Childhood in i...

Re: What Was The Deal With Marillion?

Yes I've always thought they were the answer to the question "What would Genesis sound like if Peter Gabriel sang on the late '70s - early '80s albums?". Marillion were so much more than that though. I never listened to much after Fish left but I really like their early records Fish was s...

Now that I think about it, having Bruce Kulick and his band open these last two shows was such an obvious move to make. An easy way to give the fans something special and celebrate the legacy without Gene or Paul having to do anything extra. And they get to thank Bruce without the awkwardness of hi...

Re: HAVE YOU EVER ... Waited in line for a Concert? To Buy tix? For a Autograph signing? Parade? Other?

In the 80’s I loved “camping out” (partying all night in the mall parking lot and sleeping in my buddy’s pickup with him and his girlfriend) for tickets. We had to sign the list to get in line the night before the tickets went on sale (just like the guy above posted), then we actually got in line ou...
