Agreed and always felt this way. I heard Stay Hungry first but aside from the singles, I did not think it was a great album. From top to bottom, just about every song on YCSRNR is a classic.

Word is... he had a few cocktails... and fell out of the tour bus... I've met the guy a few times and know people who have hung out with him. I don't think he's ever sober! Nice guy but messy! The clip of him falling onstage and Taime laughing just shows you how bad it is. https://www.youtube.com/w...

Another vote for Primal Scream with honorary mention to Angela. That was the end of an era.
They had some good songs here and there after that, but the Decade of Decadence 81-91 was definitive Motley Crue.

I liked Richies take that they broke out after VH fell apart. Never thought of it that way before, but it is kinda what happened. VH? Van Halen. The original line up He was specifically talking about Jump and how it was a rock song with keyboards. It was a good point and right on the money timing w...

Re: Best Springsteen 70s songs (NOT Born To Run)
The entire Born to Run album is a masterpiece! Darkness is awesome. It’s angry Bruce. The River is technically 1980 but written and probably recorded in the 70’s. All 3 are essential. Then dive into The Promise and Tracks box sets for amazing songs like Loose Ends and Linda Let Me Be the One that he...

This right now is a hundred percent a business thing. And I found some shit out that's true. The only thing standing in our way is the business side of this. I can't give you all the details, but it's not about us not getting along. It's about us figuring out how to make this work on the business s...

Re: Def Leppard "No You Can't Do That" Pyromania Outtake
There's that HIgh & Dry crunchy guitar tone I love that is missing from all their other albums! That early mix of Photograph was damn cool. Looking forward to hearing the entire record like that. So that guitar sound WAS there it just got polished and/or washed away in the final mix. Obviously i...

Bonus points since Perry the bass player was the original bass player in Firehouse on the first few records.
And wow... Except for Sebastian Bach, I think these guys have the best heads of hair out of all the 80's rockers! So if nothing else, God gave them that!

Re: Motley Crue "Dogs Of War" full song
To my ears and eyes....the went right back to 1997/8. It's a clash between Afraid/Generation Swine and I hear a bit of Enslaved in there too meaning it's SLIGHTLY more melodic and definitely more polished/produced than Swine. Overall though, it felt more like an ad for a video game than a new Motley...

Yep. Unholy was badass, I remember taping the video; my friends and I sharing the VHS back and forth because we loved it so much. Then Revenge comes out and 'Take It Off' is track 2 and we are right back to shitty 80's KISS. I don't know... I think songs like Take it Off and Heart of Chrome ARE Pau...

Actually, I see Desmond Child just re-posted that clip but it's actually over a year old. They are well into the 2nd billion by now.

Re: BLAS FOR MORE … Stephen Pearcy the Voice of RATT has added Blas Elias of Slaughter on drums
Blas is a great drummer although it's been rumored that the first Slaughter record is all drum machine! I wonder if he was ever offered the gig with Vince Neil considering Blando and Dana from Slaughter are in Vince's band. And I think Zoltan actually was drummer for Slaughter for awhile too while B...

Odd timing to release the record as their farewell tour is ending! For sure the Lean Into It record was their most successful but I think it's an odd choice to play it in its entirety for their farewell tour, with no songs from the new album.

Re: Realistically, how much longer does GN'R have? OR ANY OF THESE BANDS??
The bands will be dead, but the fans will be dead too.... so no one will be around to complain. It's already happening. Many of the 80's bands discussed here continue on with only 1 or 2 original members. I think Foreigner is the best example of a band continuing on successfully as a touring ...

Re: Behind The Music Returning! Wolfgang VH Episode…
I don't really like the remastered/updated ones. I get the point of them but all the new footage is done on the cheap compared to the original versions. They don't edit together nicely. The WORST one was the Bret Michaels one where they re-wrote history making it sound like Poison was his solo band ...

Man I hate Tattoo. I think if it was the last song on the album, It might be remembered as a fun goofy song. But being the first new thing we heard from them in 25 years...No. I always liked Tattoo. It reminded me a bit of Sensible Shoes which is one of my favorite DLR songs. I think you're right t...

They #metoo’d the fuck out of it. Why did they feel the need to make this so interracial? You're a little confused there, chief. #metoo and interracial mixing are different things really. I just meant that they softened it too much. The original was a bunch of rowdy white rednecks in a dive bar. No...

Hope Jack is okay. All I hear is good things about him. Sometimes rock singers go through bad phases and recover. Stephen Pearcy comes time mind a few years back when he was going thru some knee issues. Very sad to see this. If he can't perform, stop just stop until you can. Jack's health has been ...
