Re: Bands where no one are friends
RATT were pretty meh about each other as well. I think there were groups within the band that liked each other, but in general, they didn't seem to enjoy each other's company. IIRC, at least Pearcy and Blotzer had their own backstage rooms. Based on social media, Pearcy seems to miss Robbin a lot. ...

Re: Bands where no one are friends
RHCP. Chad doesn’t know Flea. Yeah, Anthony and Flea totally have loathed each other for last 45 years... Can't tell if that's sarcasm or not, but Chad had an interview a few years ago where he mentioned that he didn't hang out with Flea, and that he'd only been to his house like twice or something...

Re: People who deeply regretted quitting their band?
Chris Adler. Lamb of God have had quite a run. Still no idea what actually happened. He didn't quit, he was playing with Megadeth when there was downtime, and then when Dave made him choose, he went back to Lamb of God full time, only to get into a motorcycle accident, and then LoG decided to move ...

Re: People who deeply regretted quitting their band?
Mike Portnoy. Sure he made it back in, but it was a long 13 years for him. I dunno, I mean, yeah, I'm sure he regretted it after the Avenged Sevenfold guys decided they didn't want their dad hanging around anymore, but he was absolutely EVERYWHERE during that time period. I don't think that happens...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mihD0TWsPk I don't buy it. Sure, maybe he had vocal cord surgery, and maybe he was in therapy for the last year or so, but I still think it was physical therapy to recover from a stroke. Re: Rachel Bolan Says SKID ROW Will Re-record Sebastian Bach Era Classic Album With Erik Gronwall
Re-recording songs with a new vocalist doesn't usually work so well. Exodus re-recorded Bonded by Blood to shite reviews, Anthrax re-recorded Belladonna songs with Bush, I'm pretty sure that bombed too... I wouldn't say bombed, because I don't think it had high expectations to begin with. It sold t...

Are they not calling this Slayer just so they don't have to pay Tom a cut? Because this is Slayer. Yeah, I mean, it's pretty close. Kerry said in the interview he hasn't talked to Tom in 5 years, so I can imagine the last thing he wanted to do was deal with all the business BS. This way he can go o...

It’s the ultimate cut and paste album. Has small sections of songs that can be good, but is truly a disjointed effort.

Semi-related, looks like for the 2024 Pantera shows, they've scrapped the Cemetary Gates taped tribute, and replaced it actually playing Floods. I might have to go see this show now, that's one of my favorite songs by them. https://blabbermouth.net/news/watch-pantera-performs-floods-for-first-time-s...

I get Roth not liking Tokyo Dome, even though it still gets played on the Boneyard pretty regularly, but I don't understand not liking A Different Kind of Truth. Clearly, he did all the artwork, he did all the backstage videos that are on the deluxe edition, and those are HIS songs. Just seems like ...

I completely misread that, so the confusion is on me. The point I was trying to make was that it made a big difference who Roth chose to play that role, and that him choosing Holmes as a replacement for Becker (someone that actually had talent and could play the Van Halen/Vai parts well) was a bad i...

In the course of a week, DLR has talked shit about Valerie, the entire Bertinelli family, Alex, and now Wolfgang. I think the more interesting story is not what Dave has said about them, but why Dave is saying all this now. Perhaps he just got tired of being painted as the difficult one and wanted ...

I can't think of anything at the moment, usually my problem is the other way around.
I know some of Bob Seger's early 70s material isn't out there, like Back in '72, which is notable for having the studio version of Turn the Page and Rosalie.
