Of all the 80's bands who tried to go grunge, who made the best album?

The one that started it all. Spreading gossip and insults since 1998.

Not sure if it's the best of the bunch but I really liked most of Warrant's "Ultraphobic" CD.

Alice in Chains (formerly Alice 'N Chains).

My own choice is SKID ROW- Subhuman Race.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eupeB4MghSY

Didn't even realise they were pandering, thought it was an awesome 80s band with 90s upgrades.

Best tracks, Breakin' Down, Beat Yourself Blind, My Enemy, Firesign, Frozen, Into Another.

Comparing this with KISS amazed at how Led Zeppelin/SOUNDGARDEN sounding these "grunge knock-offs" were.

I have to disagree that Dysfunctional was grunge. It was a very mature/modern sounding Dokken recording though. Shadowlife was more grunge than anything.

warrant, "ultraphobic" and "belly to belly" are better then the first two albums, great albums. would've been hits had it been a new band.

WildSide "ST" ... their second release is killer. I am, and was a big fan of this record from the start. Most 80's fans hated it though.

Very STP esque, great stuff. I recommend checking it out ...Great tunes, here are a few.

No way Alice In Chains by a mile. They even opened for poison when they were hair metal. Will check these bands out though for curiosity
