Watched a lil bit, couple things stuck out
From the Dirt, Tommy made it seem like Vince looks like he does now, but he looks in very fine shape physically. Lee definately saw the Vince decline coming.
Also, at start of Home Sweet Home, Tommy gets a semi disingenuous hug from Vince ......which is hillarious knowing how much they hated each other at that time

4 thoughts ...

1. Vince was skinny
2. From what I watched, Vince seemed to be singing most of the words
3. Can’t believe they let Tommy sing Brandon
4. Otherwise pretty cool setlist

I liked Swine when it came out, but the new songs didn't mesh with the classics, and I didn't care for the concert. And the album sounds totally dated today.

No shit  I was 13 when this tour hit and my older cousins took me. I was so excited and still had a great time, but I can't lie that I was a bit bummed out... it was definitely not the Dr. Feelgood / GGG stage show I had envisioned in my head prior.

It's tough to say which was better, Feelgood stage or Swine stage. Neither had much happening. The Swine stage was much smaller, but it had the entire backdrop as video screens. Feelgood stage was massive, but very plain. The video screen on that one was only used for the intro. Theater and Girls had the best shows, and neither relied on video.

True, The Feelgood stage was rather plain, but there was still tons of lights and pyro and it looked like a big arena rock show. Swine was them playing on a bare dark stage with very little pyro and lights. I guess they had the giant screen which wasn't overdone like it is today, but meh... that still didn't do much for me back then. Nevermind Tommy's stupid drum solo.

Seeing the Swine tour in Minneapolis was the night I discovered Vince couldn't sing live.
Local radio station played the show back live on our way home & I was flabbergasted at his voice.
Singing along, having some drinks & just enjoying the show kept me from focusing on Vinnie (videos show he was still rather acceptable in 80s).

It's trip looking back on this now. I watched them doing "Afraid" live on some morning talk show in broad daylight from right when Swine came out (youtube it) a couple years ago and was actually really impressed with how good they looked and sounded. Considering what year it was, and how uncool they were at that point, they were still very much a glammed out rock band with a modern twist. Vince looked and sounded good. The album is kind of a shit sandwich, but I remember seeing the photos in Metal Edge, hearing the new music and being totally bummed out at the time. In retrospect they weren't nearly as bad as I thought.
