Currently listening to the entire January 5th, 1991 Trixter-hosted episode of Headbangers Ball (30 years ago today!) in mp3 playlist form. Right now it’s Slayer’s “War Ensemble”...

The Sirius/XM 80’s on 8 Top 40 countdown for January 28, 1989. #1 song that week was Phil Collins’ “Two Hearts”. It’s also Sludgey because “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” was #16 that week, “When the Children Cry” was at #5, Lep's "Armageddon It" was #3, and it was the first week in the top 40 for G’n’R’s “Paradise City” at #36. Right now it’s Tone Loc’s “Wild Thing”...

Lovebites, "Glory to the World"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wJtD2XEXH4

They are continuing to morph into Dragonforce

Band Maid, "After Life"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MOvCkCqz_U

They get heavier with each album. And I can see a maid cafe girl losing her shit like this.

Nevermore, "Enemies of Reality" Gigantour 2006
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4CFZVI8t6Y

Goddamn I miss Warrel and this band

Gurschach, "Innocent Blood"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzW9Ky4b4tI

I think these guys are what Metallica would have become had Cliff lived.

Just discovered this 12 year old very non-metal track and I love it. Shame they are better known for "Take Me Out"
