Somebody in the comments wrote, "They are playing this at an average of 203 BPM. 19 BPM faster than the studio version." I have no idea if that's true because I'm not a nerd but this does pass my ear test of being "fast."

Sounds pretty damn good to me, and nice and speedy (regardless if the numbers are accurate in the OP). Cool that they still bust out plenty of heavy old shit and can still play it with energy.
Also, has Lars' kit gotten even smaller? It's the same config he's had since the mid-90s but the actual scale of it seems like a child's kit

*I kinda want a new screenname. Seriously. I barely watch racing anymore.

Lars was wincing in pain through out that performance. Wonder how many more years he has in the tank? Doesn't look like many.

But it's not a hit.

Very cool. Fast-songs-Metallica is a good band.
That stage is stupid as hell. And why isn't the floor completely filled? Fat Americans can't stand for two hours straight?

It’s ok.
Lars is working hard, but he’s playing pretty well (for Lars).
He doesn’t appear to be playing the straight 16th-note double kick pattern after the guitar solo that’s on the recording…but clearly, nobody in that audience cares, so I supposed it doesn’t matter.

So does Lars bow out gracefully when he can't go anymore, or does he mime?Billy Jack wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 8:04 am Lars was wincing in pain through out that performance. Wonder how many more years he has in the tank? Doesn't look like many.
