Worse cover: F.P.s "You're So Vain" or Stryper "Shining Star"?

Pussycats Vain was kind of a throwaway song on a tribute album which then became a live staple, so I love that song.
Strypers Star was the lead single cover on an album that basically ended them.
Completely different in the reasons they were covered

I always liked the FP version of that song.
I didn't like Shining Star as a song to begin with but Stryper's version makes it even worse. I remember that song debuting on Headbangers Ball and the hosts laughing as they introduced it, I think it was Dave Mustaine if irc.

Love both covers but I agree that Mike Sweet is a loaf of Wonder Bread.

Speaking of awful covers I can’t stand the Megadouches’ cover of No More Mr Nice Guy. Everything about it is shiite

WHAT? Deth's version of No More Mr. Nice Guy is GREAT. Honestly, that's the only version I listen to. Far superior to the original.
