How are your teeth?
I often judge people by their teeth. How superficial of me. Now-a-days you can have mail order teeth for just over a grand. Its the 1st thing people often see. If your choppers aren't good, you are a bad person. I'm an elitist it guess .
Re: How are your teeth?
You'd probably think I'm a real piece of shit then...and you'd probably be correct. My teeth are pretty fucked from 25+ years of hard drug use. The theory of drugs ruining your teeth is indeed an accurate one. Several of my back teeth are gone, but that doesn't bother me because you cannot see that. However up front on top I am missing the tooth on each side of my center two upper teeth. So it looks like I have an extreme case of the classic buck tooth look due to there being a big ole gap on each side if those teeth.
I'd never given the importance of my teeth much consideration before, but not taking better care if them is one of my biggest regrets. It really sucks when you cannot smile in front of people. I can only make this stupid looking grin. Or if I laugh at something I have to look down. I know I forget sometimes and end up smiling when talking to somebody and it is obvious when they notice my choppers. I feel bad for them because I can tell they are embarrassed for me. If I could just get those two front two I'd be fine, but it's several thousand dollars per tooth. It's fucking ridiculous!
Take care of your teeth my friends!

Re: How are your teeth?
I haven’t been to the dentist in 5+ years.
I have 2 fillings from 30+ years ago. They look fine. They don’t hurt. Straight. I should probably get them whitened again.
So they seem good to go. Sorta scared a dentist will tell me they’re fucked and are gonna crumble soon.

Very healthy teeth. Most importantly they’re natural… not bleached bright white. That looks as ridiculous as guys who color their hair.

Damn dude. I imagine it's tough to get fine ass young baddies to come back to your parents crib to listen to some WASP with those choppers missing?Ryan81 wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2024 12:08 pm You'd probably think I'm a real piece of shit then...and you'd probably be correct. Re: How are your teeth?
They're ok, I give 'em an 8 outta 10.
I had braces as a teen... but my lower teeth were getting crooked as fuck again a few years ago, so I went to the dentist who said that with braces they'd be straight again after a year and a half. So I pulled the trigger. Luckily, the covid mask thing happened soon after, so a good deal of time of my braces was hidden behind them masks, and now I look normal again!
Fuck the British tho, them crooked choppers suck! All sorts of fishy chips residue in there!

Great. I brush 3 times a day and floss every time I brush. I get my teeth cleaned every 6 months at the dentist. I only had one minor cavity

Re: How are your teeth?
Teeth are all in great shape, thanks to my brother in law who’s a dentist. Did Invisalign a couple years ago to tighten up years of not wearing my retainer. Use some real solid bleach trays from time to time. In business, your teeth are a large part of your business card. Take care of them the best you can.

Re: How are your teeth?
All good here. Cleanings 2x a year, floss daily. I did have to do Invisalign to fix some crowding years ago and once you spent all that money and time you will always maintain your dental health.
It sucks having to sleep with a retainer for life but it's better than undoing all the work.

Straight and white. I do grind my teeth in my sleep however so I have to wear a night guard. That took some getting used to, I kept having dreams where I'm hungry and trying to eat but can't chew.

Re: How are your teeth?
mine aren't great, mainly due to genetics. my Mom's side of the family have jacked up teeth. the fact that we didn't have a lot of money growing up for regular dental check ups didn't help, either.
had more than a few pulled, because it was cheaper than getting root canals, etc.
once I got a job with decent dental insurance, I took advantage. root canals, crowns, the whole shebang.
yet, even after all of that, they still look pretty bad,
my kid will never have to worry about that, though. check ups, cleanings. thank god for that insurance.
and braces, which we just finished paying off. her teeth are perfect.

Re: How are your teeth?
I've always taken care of my teeth. Dentist twice a year, brush floss twice a day, but my parents certainly didn't have the cash for braces. (My older siblings still tell the stories of when my parents could barley afford the dentist, but no nova cane!) Per my dentist - Horrible teeth genetics here, almost a 1 cm gap between the front 2. Impacted wisdom teeth I never had extracted. I have a naturally hard bite, like even if I'm eating a pb & j I'm biting like a steak. So much so that some of my teeth are quite literally getting crushed due to years of said hard bite. A side effect of that was a lingering neck, jaw & headache pain. Add that to years of living/weed/drinking and yea, they didn't look great. Plus, I have 5 caps, all on back teeth.
While I felt that I didn't care, deep down I really grew to care. To speak to what a poster above said, I could see the look of a embarrassment on people's faces when I would meet them for the first time. So a few years ago I decided to get them all "fixed". I'll save you the gory details but let's say that after procedures, Invisalign, bonding, deep cleaning, whitening, cavity fills and A LOT OF CASH MONEY, they look amazing, to me. Are they the white picket fence of veneers, no. However, now I do not get that embarrassed look from people meeting them for the first time. I do not get the neck, head & jaw pain I used to & I wish I had done it sooner. One thing I am embarrassed about, is now I'm aware of other people's teeth. I hope to hell I don't judge anyone via their teeth & I consciously try not to, but I probably am on some level.
