Y&T’s “In Rock We Trust” - my review

The one that started it all. Spreading gossip and insults since 1998.

2nd best Y&T album after Ten.
Unfortunately, that's not saying much.

Earth Shaker and Mean streak were better. After In rock we trust, there music turned to shit imho.
I'm finding it difficult to masturbate to this. I'm trying, I just have so little to work with...

That might be the worst take I’ve ever read here. Y&T’s career was pretty much dead by the time Ten was released and there’s maybe 1-2 songs of note on it. Literally everything before it was better, particularly: Black Tiger, Mean Streak, and IRWT, as well as Earthshaker and even the Yesterday and Today releases. The only records Ten might beat out are Contagious and Down For The Count.

I had almost all their releases on cassette. Tons of filler, but the good songs were great!

Contagious is perfect pop metal. Great riffs and dumb lyrics.

Ten, along with Contagious, are the worst Y&T albums. Even Down For the Count is better.

But without the hooks. No good "pop" hooks on that pop metal album. Down For The Count had some.

Disagree.

Contagious
Temptation
Armed and Dangerous
Rhythm or Not
Eyes of a Stranger

Don't know what your definition of a "hook" is, but these songs all have one.

Title track was a top Y&T track. Rest of the album was filler.
