Well, Mick Jagger is still kicking ass and he's like 80...so I'm gonna go with 85.

Death by orgasm will be my check-out method.

80 is a nice round number, as long as I'm mobile. Never assisted living for this dirt bag, I'd rather suck a shell out of a gun.

Death by misadventure always sounded appealing.

My grandfather on my dad's side lived to around 85 and he was a miner.
My dad lived to 81 and he was a monster alcoholic at the end.
Grandfather on my mom's side lived to 92

I cut down on almost all my drinking this year and have been hiking/biking/exercising a lot.
I'm assuming I aint going anywhere for a loong time. Unless I crack my head open or shit like that.

127 would be nice. That would be 200 years after my grandpa was born, and I could remind people of that constantly.

All my family is already gone, so I'm not worried about being the last survivor, and I keep making friends. If the ones I have now fuck off into the grave, I will find new ones.

Plus I gotta out-live Huey so I can stand on his grave going: "Ho ho! What good is all that time wasted exercising doing you now?"

I can't speak for age, But for me just passing in my sleep would be ideal. No suffering, just the end. I will say I don't want the normal grieving funeral, just shoot me from a canon into a river. The fees from renting a canon may exceed the normal funeral, but let's do something fun.
Sorry about your Mom. 5 months feels like 5 years. My dad went from decently healthy to dead in 3 months, and it felt like 3 years. I'm with you on the funeral. I tried very hard to talk Mom into a celebration of life in the spring. He died around Christmas 2022. She wouldn't have it. It was the full-blown everything. Several days of shit and exhaustion. I want nothing. I'll have it put in writing, but I've already told my son I'm being cremated (or wood-chippered or whatever). After that, whatever. Use me as a brisket rub, flush me down the toilet. I won't know the difference.
Thanks. Those are such true words. These last 5 months did feel like 5 years. I am just glad is her suffering is over. All I have been doing this week is thinking of all the things we did to make each other laugh. I was lucky enough that I could take time over the last 30 years to try and get home once a week to have supper with my parents. I definitely am in Quarter 4 of my life,I will be 53 next month.

Any day is a good day to die. As long as it's with a shred of dignity...

What is with all these people talking about how they're in the 4th quarter?!
If you live till 80, the 4th quarter doesnt start till 60.

Your quotes are off dude. I didn't write that. Someone replying to me did. I will be 58 in September.

Something is messed up I guess. My response got quoted without the tags.

Some of you are near your expiration date, especially the fatties on here.

https://www.death-clock.org/

Going by that, I will live to be 84 years, 9 months, and 9 days old. I'm almost exactly halfway through my life.

My family has a history of longevity, nearly all live into their mid to late 90's. With genetics on my side, coupled with a healthy lifestyle, I hope to reach triple digits and am excited to make the the next five-plus decades fulfilling and productive. Life is long and beautiful.

Nope.

I am in contact with one of my cousin's children, whatever you call that. Second cousin?

The cousins on the other side are all sort of hillbilly conservatives who fell away some time after Obama was elected.

...and that's it.
