I’m enjoying this quite a bit. 8)

Some of these songs are quite bad but it sounds good.

Sounds much better, but the songs are still pretty weak. A turd, but a better sounding turd

I always liked this one. Sure, it's not as good as what would come later, but it's cool hearing Priest do straight ahead 70's hard rock rather than specifically Heavy Metal. I've been listening to it yesterday and today, and it sounds great.

I always liked the album. “Run of the Mill” is a total classic in my book.

Indeed. Looking forward to SWOD getting similar treatment in 2026 - love the songs but the sound needs a lot of improvement and maybe they will even add a live bonus disc or the elusive studio demo of Mother Sun.

Thinking about it, Rocka Rolla barely makes my bottom 5 Priest albums - the two with Ripper are garbage, and I would say Redeemer of Souls and Nostradamus are at least as bad and I listen to them less than RR....

Hell Yeah. I just ordered a Jugulator shirt that was on sale from Hot Topic. Amazingly, the graphic isn't pixilated.

Looking forward to listening but I wish there was a bonus track or something. I think the album actually sounds pretty good as it is with the exception of the long fade on Winter, where its real quiet compared to the rest of the record. I think all the songs are good. The title track is great, and I agree, Run of the Mill is pretty epic, Halford at his most soulful.
I actually make it better than Sad Wings. And I always thought that album had great production. Listen to the studio version of the Ripper it sounds awesome

I thought the album sounded fine already but this remix really does make it a very different experience. Can't wait to get the CD and here's hoping they do Sad Wings too.

Aside from the guitars being a bit too clean, I always thought Sad Wings was very well recorded and mixed especially for 1976. The songs all sound great, tempo-wise and the vocals are flawless.

I do like a lot of the tunes on Rocka Rolla, but like a lot of Priest fans, I consider Sad Wings to be their true debut.

Blah. A remastering full of DR6 and DR7 tracks. I'll check it out, but the bad mastering automatically makes it worse in my view. Someone will probably make a declipped version. Or upload a needledrop if they did a vinyl.
