I remember seeing this on MTV at the time and I about fell over. First, I was shocked MTV was actually playing it given the musical climate at the time, and second, because CC looked like Bernie from A Weekend At Bernie’s. I felt bad for him even though he had done it to himself. I didn’t want to see him die. I liked him and his crazy. I was glad when I read he had recovered.
I thought he and Spike made a good team. I wish they had made several albums and done some tours in the 90s. Flew the glam rock freak flag at the time. They could’ve covered Poison, LQ, some Faces. Sky was the limit.
