Pete Evick “Bobby Blotzer is tough to deal with” - Chuck Shute podcast

Post by gtrjay »

Listening to the Chuck Shute podcast with Pete Evick. Pete has some fun stories about touring, casino gigs vs county fairs, and then shared a story at the 55-minute mark.

“Bobby Blotzer is a lot to deal with. We played a show with Dokken. Warrant. Jack Russell. And Bobby’s version of Ratt."

Bobby gets upset about the dressing room size as he needs a bigger room to present the scabs with their fake gold records that night.

"Bobby gets mad that all the bands gave Jack Russel the biggest room near the stage due to failing health. Bobby yells at Pete & Don Dokken “If it wasn’t for us Poison wouldn’t be on the fucking map. Bret’s here today because us giving him a chance. I need the dressing room

It all goes back to what Jason Green said years ago. Bobby Blotzer = Piece of Shit!

I’m completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. These two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death.

He gets a lot of shit here, but he was extremely cool to us when we played with them.
Warren, Blotzer, Jizzy, Crane, Crabby version.
Actually, they were all cool, except Warren.
Supposedly, he had food poisoning and came in 5 min before showtime.

I just listened to the interview... Pete NEVER called anyone scabs.

The use of the word "Scabs" was written above... but in the interview I just listened to, there was NO use of the word "scabs" anywhere.

For the record.

This is annoying to read... as I see it often... when someone writes some garbage on here, and the word is "Metal Sludge said >insert garbage here<"

Which is then immediately thrown all over me... "Stevie said blah, blah, blah."

Just sayin'

Is this Pete 'Musical Director of the Bert Miracles band' Evick?

I have little doubt Blobster would pull a Neil 'SPYDER' Giraldo attitude backstage during the Blotzers Ratt crap days.

My bad Stevie. I see what I did. When I share via mobile vs. desktop, it is easy for me to miss, especially if I don't have my glasses on. I had one line in quotes. But the second line was my line/opinion to the board. I updated it so as not to confuse or misquote someone. Apologies.

All good... just wanted to note as this is how sh!t rolls down hill.

Everyone is guilty of saying stuff, and owning it is always the best thing to do... which Pete does.

But, when others put words in your mouth. or you get accused of saying or doing something you did not, it can be troubling.

I am not the Pete Police here, but just wanted to be fair to him, before the Sludge crowd start destroying the guy over something he never said.

Never mind "who said what", the biggest surprise of this thread is that anyone would feel compelled to listen to an interview with Pete Evick in the first place........

"""""""""""""""that anyone would feel compelled"""""""""""""""""

Says a person who is clicking on, reading through and commenting.

Welcome to you, obviously a Pete Evick fan.

Congrats...

In a perfect world Ratt would’ve fired Blobz back in ‘90 and hired Fred Coury for Detonator.
