Post by Mato »

Released 10/22/1991
Happy 33rd Anniversary. Many say the last true great Hair Metal release.

I saw this tour twice, it was Gods plan for me
Sometimes God can be your friend when the time is needed
He also brought Lilian Axe tour to me Psychoschizophrenia tour to me

A very solid release. 1000X better than anything DAD ever did.

Harry Cody has a killer guitar tone on this album. There's one interview I found of him talking about a lot of those sounds being from a chipped and chewed up copper guitar pick.

Nice! 2 albums we agree on and both “discovered” around the same time. Now if you can just listen to Flickerstick and Foo Fighters.

Fun fact: I used to bang my high school GF to the shotgun messiah album a lot! She used to bounce to the beat of Heartbreak BLVD.
Same girl I told $tevil about giving me a BJ in a church parking lot to “I hate kissing you goodbye” playing on tape in the car.

Heartbreak Blvd is bad ass.

Livin Without You.... a friend of mine said the singer sounded like Elmer Fudd so I can't listen to that song without picturing Elmer singing it! :)

This was one of the last cassettes I ever bought! I had it in the car stereo nonstop. Red Hot, Free, the overall sound of the record was just awesome.

I think it stands out because it's so much better than anything the band did before or after!

Living Without You is one of the best ballads ever and video is perfection.
Mr Cathouse introducing it was best time ever in music

Then stupid sh*t like Flickerstick came along and ruined music

Living Without You got best response by far at Tim Skold show at Whisky this year….the song started and actually got nice “pop” from the crowd with people singing along.
Tim was happiest during that time

I have the Divebomb reissues of both albums, they have nice packaging and booklets (essays, interviews, pictures, etc). I got rid of the original CD's so I can't A/B the sound difference, but I feel like the remastering of the debut was more noticeable.

Nice! I see what you did there.
Except Fs didn’t hit until 2000/2001 ya know a decade after that band from the PNW wiped everyone off the map.

Much derided album but there are some good songs on it, and Ten Storey Love Song may be the best thing they ever recorded.

Oh, wait …

Killer album! One of the absolute greats from that era. Harry Cody is an underrated beast of a guitarist. And the sound on that album is so good.
