why doesn't he do that? At least if he calls it vanhalen, no one could argue, since that actually his name.
I believe he isnt able to turn his head too much, to say nothing about doing a tour.

Yeah he claims he's not retired but he might as well be. He's pretty beat up.

It's absolutely idiotic to contend Zep weren't A-listers in the 1970s.

Bring a copy of VH3 and he'll apologize and give you $10 back.

Hell, how many of you noobs even remember that I wonder …
It's still brought up every so often around here. Just me be the best Sludge comment ever. Not only was the photoshop excellent, being the first comment the timing was perfect. At least that's how I remember it.

I'm going tomorrow night in Culver City. I'll try to write a review over the weekend. Most of it will be about finding parking, but it will still be written better than anything that Gerry Gittelson can do.

So I went on Thursday night to the Alex Van Halen speaking engagement in Culver City. It was okay. Alex came out at 8:15 and talked to about 9:30. Line was long to get in, but that was a result of them checking ID's to get your tickets. It moved decently. After you got your ticket you go get your book. It's signed, but on sheet of paper that is glued in. Kind of dumb, because I does not seem actually autograph, even though it is.

The Van Halen Tards were in full effect at the speaking engagement. It was lame and weird. People just yelling stuff randomly and honestly looked like it made Alex uncomfortable. I'm not sure if they thought Alex would go "cool", but he kind of looked like the person yelling should just go away. He came out using a cane. The person interviewing him was the co-author of the book. She was good and they had pre-screened questions from the audience. No discussion about Sammy or Michael Anthony. Brought Dave up a couple of times. Alex was great when talking off the cuff. He seemed smart and knowledgable about whatever he spoke about. He was different than I expected, but I think I expected drunk 1984 Alex as opposed to 2024 sober Alex. At the end was Alex was leaving, people rushed down the aisle. Not sure what they thought was going to happen. He was not signing anything.

Was it worth the $60, I'm not sure. I'll read the book at some point.

Parking was free for those of you that wondered.

If he still wants anything to do with the music scene, he might as well do a solo record with guests on said album
Otherwise he’s content on retirement and this is his
farewell tour.

It is. Plus, watching Hagar/Anthony bozos get their panties in a wad over the non-mention is hilarious. Classic, true VH is always king.
