Well said.Tyketto Meniketti wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 10:35 amWell, the stock market loves unfettered capitalism. Mostly the oil companies drove the rush. The Rs will control all aspects and thus regulations will go out the window. "Drill baby drill." EPA regulations will be dismantled (again). Interest rates will continue to drop (they already are progressing that way).** Commercial loan activity will reignite. Environmental issues will be ignored. If Teflon Don is smart, he'll continue to infrastructure reinvestment Biden pushed through, because it's creating tons of factories/jobs in chips (computer, not potato, fatso), transportation, electric batteries, cars, etc.CanadianMetal wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 7:43 pm As much as many may not like him as a person , I was surprised by the ONE DAY gain in my investments .
Everyone will have a different mix , but mine went up 10% in one day , wow . Never experienced that before . (At least at this dollar level)
When I asked my wife to guess our gains today , even she was flabbergasted when I kept telling her …. higher…higher…
Granted , there will be some profit taking , but it does set a new benchmark .
When you gain more than a year’s worth of salary, in one day, it is still pretty shocking (but obviously in a good way ) .
All this to say, it'll drive the market for a couple years... and by year 3 as always happens to Republicans' unfettered capitalism... we'll see warning signs. They'll get ignored. And you can pretty much bank on a financial "crisis" late in year 3 or early 4. Past two Republican presidents are responsible for the two worst financial crises of our lifetimes, because they're greedy bastards.
**By the way, the key reason interest rates rose so high was because PEOPLE GOT FREE MONEY during the pandemic. Dumba$$ electorate isn't even smart enough to understand that. Or the fact that the economy of the past 3.5 years has done remarkably well, considering. Intelligent people making decisions have kept things in balance. Be thankful that the ramifications of the shutdown didn't make things much worse.
Folks decided to "F around and find out" with this election... we'll see what happens. Apparently, decorum, decency, ethics, and respect are no longer qualities desired in our president. We get what we deserve.

Even in victory, your type proves just how classless, ignorant, graceless, and uneducated you are. Your whole platform is "owning the libs" and nothing more. Instead of celebrating and looking forward to all the good things you believe will come from Trump, you are focused on attacking the opposition. You are nothing without your liberal boogeymen. I'm curious when the next assassination attempts will begin from right-wing extremists (since that is who pulled the trigger on the others). Take away their porn, they will lose their shit since they don't know the touch of a woman. The entire GOP will need to wear Kevlar. They'll need to build Trump a "pope box' to travel in. The SS will have to carry it on the golf course 246 days a year. Makes teeing off a little difficult. The "enemy within" seems to come from his own party.

Re: Donald Trump Won.
I know it's a snarky comment to make anyone that questioned that at the time look stupid - but it still is suspicious how those 81.2 million votes for Biden jump off the page from all other elections.
Biden barely campaigned that election, made a rare video message from Deleware. He was always a long time gaffe prone Washington insider and not getting any more appealing with age and time. Hard to believe he inspired the biggest show of support ever seen for a candidate. Plus he blew away Obama's performance only in the "swing states" and underperformed Obama almost everywhere else and there was little down ballot extenstion of that support to the house and senate race for his party. Emergency COVID rules changed all of the voter verification procedures suddenly and chaotically with mail in ballots. Courts were overwhelmed with lawsuits with most never being heard.
2000 was questionable with the Bush/Gore Florida thing and supreme court deciding that. Don't think 2004 (Bush), 2008 & 2012 (Obama) or 2016 was fishy, but that 2020 one looks way more suspicious after the one here in 2024.

It would be a lot more suspicious if Trump didn't also get the largest number of votes in 2020. Apparently there was something that motivated people on both sides to vote in 2020 (covid?) and it seems to be conventional wisdom that a high turnout favors the Democrats.Blotzer's Treehouse wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 7:30 pm

Also, being an experienced but not very controversial Washington insider may have been an advantage for Biden in 2020 after four chaotic years when voters wanted stability and predictability. But in 2024, the voters wanted change. This article is spot on: "She’s running as a change candidate even though she has not revealed any major breaks that she would make with her boss".

You can not like the way the numbers look all you want, but no one has been able to prove a single thing. The man who fabricated the entire election interference/steal thing himself, one of the most powerful, connected and intimately privy to resources like no other, people of all time was utterly unable to bring any credible evidence to the table in four years. Didn't stop him from building a cult around an entirely unfounded premise based on ego and power hunger, though. You guys can cry foul all you want. Provide the evidence. Literally any evidence.Blotzer's Treehouse wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 7:30 pm I know it's a snarky comment to make anyone that questioned that at the time look stupid - but it still is suspicious how those 81.2 million votes for Biden jump off the page from all other elections.
I love how the party whose entire schtick revolves around being these strong, maverick patriots who have all of this information that the rest of us don't have (election interference, Q-Anon, Pizzagate, etc) are just utterly feckless and weak against these evil Democrats who are able to not only manufacture the biggest lead in election history, orchestrate massive chaos at the US border, and apparently CONTROL THE FUCKING WEATHER, but to leave the Republicans entirely clueless and in the dark about it all. They carry out these massive operations that would take thousands of people, scientists, smugglers, multiple governments, etc, and the Republicans have never managed to infiltrate it in any meaningful way and blow the lid off of it. Trump himself couldn't even provide proof as to how the election was stolen from him. It's all this very conveniently hidden shadow world of espionage and apparently the Republicans are just these weak children who can't figure it out. Maverick patriot warriors, my ass.
