I'm right wing? Where did that come from?

Are there any other posters on here that think I'm right wing?!?!

I voted for Claudia De La Cruz I think she's a bit more to the left than Kamala Harris.

I usually agree with the political things you say Neon, and I don't believe I've challenged you on anything you've said, so maybe you have me mixed up with someone else?

Surely, you don't believe the Democrats didn't mess up this cycle? And that's why you think I'm right wing - criticizing the Democrats. Biggest mistake was Sleepy Joe not getting out early enough. I also agree with Bernie Sanders comments.
Yes, sorry, I was actually responding to Wiseacre but messed up quoting. Nothing wrong with your statement at face value.

But to your question, I don't know how one can say definitively that the Democrats were "messing up this cycle" when there are massive amounts of lies and disinformation being peddled by a giant right wing media apparatus. Read that article I posted. I've been saying this for years that people are being absolutely brainwashed by these lying networks. The people that watch Fox News, Newsmax, One America News believe it with all their heart. FoxNews had to pay almost a billion dollars for their lies during the last election and they're the least extreme of the three I mentioned. This doesn't even take into account guys like Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, Alex Jones and a whole slew of others who push this stuff and have millions of people listening to them or reading their words online.

I watch David Pakman online, who's liberal and very very good but he says he can't get any left wing politicians to come on his show, but the right wing ones often do.

So if the Democrats are "messing up" it's in that they are getting killed in the new media landscape. They need to change, but t's going to be hard to combat the constant stream of lies the right is willing to push. And the has it down to a science. There's a chorus of lies and misinformation that gets pushed in concert with each other. The dummies buy into it hook, line and sinker.

Kamala was also hamstrung in this race in that she absolutely couldn't say anything bad about anything the administration did in the last four years. Even Biden if he had been running might have admitted he could have done somethings better, but for whatever reason she either refused to or couldn't. Her appearance on The View when she said she 'couldn't think of anything' she'd have done differently was bad.
Ok, makes sense you had the wrong person.

I do agree it would be tough for Kamala to go against the last 4 years when she was a part of it. I do think if Biden had got out earlier, and the Dems had primaries, and no one held out just to let Kamala win, she would have been no where near the nomination. Saying they messed up, isn't just that the campaign made mistakes, its that Kamala was the nominee at all. I felt like they were hanging their hat on abortion, and that backfired badly. I think Gaza also hurt them. They spent a ton of money and pretty much wasted it seeing how badly they lost. Makes you wonder whether they'd have been better off letting Trump win, while spending all the money on house and senate to at least have something. Or the other way around.

On a side note, looking at the numbers is interesting. Trump has got a little more votes than he got last time. Kamala got 11 million less than Biden. So its not necessarily a ton of people switched, even though the media will say they did, its that a ton didn't show up.

Yep. Candidates create enthusiasm, and Kamala didn't. Joy!/Beyonce/Oprah was a mirage that didn't turn into votes.

Plus, progressives were already withholding their votes in protest over Gaza. That was also a huge blow for her.

Meh. Maybe in MI. That doesn't explain an overall 10 million vote deficit from 2020.

People act as if Harris was supposed to win. And that if they did A instead of B, she would have won.

Harris did just fine actually. She got over 70 million votes, which she had no business getting. That's the 4th most votes ever in the history of the country. Nobody wants to say the real reason behind the outcome, which is that Trump ran a genius campaign.

To be fair to our furry friends, it was cats, dogs, and pets. They're all being stir-fried. At least with his mic blowjob pantomime, we know he can handle AP's giant throb. I wonder how he'd fare with Dredd's.

Yet, Conservatives and Muslims are an obvious coalition. This was bound to happen sooner or later. Trump kowtowing to the Taliban over Afghanistan set the wheels in motion, then we got Biden taking sides in Gaza and here we are now.

Withholding their votes and letting Trump win is not the kind of support I'd prefer if I'm a Palestinian.

Actual Neo-Nazis and white nationalists mostly hate Trump because he kisses Israel's ass more than any President ever. fact. Some hold their noses and of course would never vote for a "woman of color", but they are like the Fox News watching types. Very high likelihood when then get to the bottom of that sign it won't be who you think it is at which time they'll quietly bury the story like every other time. America is so racist, sexist and antisemitic that they constantly have to create fake stories to remind everyone. And you take the bait every time. That you think someone who is fanatical enough to make a Hitler sign would be in love with "Rabi Trump" shows you don't think very well. Was there a fake noose hanging nearby as well?
