I was banned too. Guy is a fucking dweeb.
If you’ve ever been an actual KISS fan there’s a chance you’ve been banned at least once.
He must have my IP banned now. I could use a VPN I guess, but I stopped giving a fuck.

I totally agree with your KISS drummer assessment. I'm no Singer fan, I've heard drum machines with more personality.
Yeah, I made a few bogus accounts just to annoy him for a few days (without a vpn, btw).I thought he blocked my ip too, because at first it seemed to automatically block me, but he 100% reads the “private” messages so that’s how he figured it out in my case.

It was nice to hear your thoughts on the Elder as I have also always enjoyed much of that album. The Oath is such a great song and Dark Light was (in my opinion) the last great Ace sung Kiss song.

Here is a death metal cover of the Oath that I enjoy by Arch Enemy

Ha , thanks that is definitely some cool interesting trivia to know !

One local band I thought of, when you mentioned that the Death lineup you toured with had Hoglan on drums . I first saw Gene Hoglan when he was playing with Strapping Young Lad (SYL) , it must have been just after their debut album and so impressed with the musicianship of the whole band and including Devin’s vocals / guitars and Hoglan's drumming . Went to most of their local shows over the years , till they called it a career with Devin Townsend moving on to other projects .

Yeah, Gene is “the man” when it comes to metal drummers. And what nice guy in person too. One of the most down to earth coolest dudes I ever met playing music. My only gripe is he lost all that weight and now I’m the fat one, haha

Damn I was up past 2am last night watching the various Anacrusis videos including some of the 2019 and the 2010 Keep it true festival and other music and fan review videos.

Was texting my friend who lives in South Africa and introduced him to Anacrusis and was cool to chat and watch the same clips together from opposite sides of the world . He mentioned that he heard touches of similarities between your singing and Chuck’s vocal delivery, and that was before I told him that you had toured with Death.

My older friend/Neighbor had come over earlier last night and brought a concert film called the Last Waltz , looks to be filmed in the mid 70’s with many of the top musicians of the time . He wanted to watch it in my theatre room as I have a full Atmos sound system including 7 foot tall quadraphonic SuperTowers and overhead speakers and multiple 18” subwoofers with 5 subs that I custom built under the recliner sofa so you can feel the bass and not just hear it (measures down to an incredible 3hz) . So the sound quality is incredible even at modest volume .

Was a good film and afterwards I introduced him to my favourite version of Diamonds and Rust by Judas Priest from the reunion tour they did in 2003 /2004 from Valencia Spain , they do the song mostly acoustic but at the end when they go electric and the drums kick in as crowd starts to sing , still gives us chills .

Im no audiophile (hell, I never thought in my youth thought Hotter Than Hell sounded subpar), but I sorta wish I had a friend with that kind of setup, and check out some tunes the way they should be!

You should check out the one called Woodstock. That isn't bad either. It was filmed in the late 60's with many of the top musicians of the time.

As a fellow Kiss / Priest fan & Sludge member , you have an open invitation to come over if you are ever visiting the Vancouver area .

During the start of Covid ,as we were spending so much time at home , I decided to totally revamp the room to make it sound better than any movie theatre or club. My young twins also helped me make the starlight ceiling I had always wanted , pulling the countless fibre optic strands too forever but was worth it but not something I want to do again any time soon lol .

I also made black leather tufted door as the original door started to bug me. I had to figure out how to make it myself , as getting someone else to do it was going to cost a fortune.

Definitely my favourite room in the house and very easy place loose track of time .

JFC, that was fucking unlistenable. I could take about 5 minutes of the non-stop, no breath-taking babble about a band that fucked up their legacy. Branvold has been a blowhard for 20 years. Podcasts with Brady Bunch squares with a face in each are torture.

After tapping out on KISS after 30 years (started in the 5th grade, if that tells you what an idiot I was), no amount of remixing helps improve anything they did except for those with Peter Pan Syndrome.

Someone just told me they heard Eddie Trunk talking about the HTH remix on his show and that he said good stuff. Haven’t heard it yet.
