Just saw this fun clip of Belinda Carlisle appearing on American Bandstand when Heaven Is A Place On Earth was first released back in 1987 - wish I could go back to when this was a brand new song and hear it for the first time!! Still love it.

On her previous tour, she had Ricky Phillips from the Babys/Bad English/Styx on bass, Pat Torpey from Mr. Big on drums, and future Roth/Coverdale Page/Fleetwood Mac keyboardist Brett Tuggle in her band - plus Charlotte from the GoGo's. In the movie Can't Buy Me Love, there's a scene where Cindy (the girl Patrick Dempsey is obsessed with) goes to a dance with this generic hair-metal guy who somehow looks like all four members of Mr. Big rolled into one. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw these jagoffs primping and posing behind Belinda - they all look like actors with "generic hair-metal guy" credits on IMDB
