Both legendary and supremely worthy hard rock acts, but I loved Aerosmith first, and Roth at his showman best, as great as he is, still can’t touch Tyler on his worst day. Aero for me.

Van Halen changed rock music. Aerosmith? They were merely awesome.

Also hugely influential, obviously. But in terms of rock guitar, there was before EVH and after EVH.

Aerosmith, and it isn't close. Fuck Van Halen, and double fuck Eddie Van Halen with his own guitar. I don't deny he was one of the greatest ever, but fuck him anyway. They do nothing for me.
