I briefly met Jack Black at a pizza place in Denver a few days after Christmas last year. I walked out of the bathroom and he was standing with a kid waiting to go in. Made eye contact and there was no mistaking him. As I was walking past him I said, “Mr. Black, nice to see you” and he said “Hey man”. A few minutes later he and the kid sat with a group at the table right next to mine. The kid played with a little stuffed panda.
