Journey - Raised On Radio (1986 Tour Documentary)

Post by ParaDime77 »

I recall seeing this video one time back when I was a kid. For some reason I thought it was on HBO. It seemed so high end as far as the audio went back then. Maybe it was Dolby something or other at that time. I remember seeing Neal Schon in his new style of guitars and thought it was kind of disappointing he wasn’t playing Les Paul’s anymore. “I’ll Be Alright Without You” version absolutely slaps!

The band did 74 shows on this run. Honeymoon Suite, Andy Taylor, Glass Tiger and The Outfield opened select dates.

I haven't seen this one. I'll watch it this weekend.

I saw this tour. The first of five Journey shows. This one with Perry and the other four with Augeri. The "Raised On Radio" show was my least favorite. The concert, just like the lp, was The Steve Perry Show. Schon let it happen. Schon did nothing and let Perry fire Smith and Valory.
